Hi bickit,
I never use bass boost and tend to leave the equalizer on default and to be honest i wouldn't use anything other than the Nokia 3.5m adapter and a decent set of headphones either. You still haven't manged to tell us what rate the Music has been encoded at as even if you use the best headphones and adapter if the Music has been encoded at a low bit rate it can not give good results as too much information is missing and loud really doesn't equate to quality in any way IMO.

Hi sapporababy,
I have to find some that lives where Gmask trades to send them a complete E61 housing so they can get it covered in Carbon Fibre as i have seen a modded E61 and it is just awesome. One of the best links is this one or themes.

Here IMO is the essential place for all things E-Series including themes for all and even modding and modded devices.

Hey Dogmann,
Thanks for the links. Do you know of a good Internet Radio Streamer that will play most files and let you put in your own links? The Real Player on my Nokia is crap and you can not put in your own links.

Hi sapporobaby,
I think this is what you are looking for and yet another nice free app from our friends @Nokia at this link.
http://opensource.nokia.com/p[....]0internetradio/ClientPage.html
and it does allow you to create your own play lists although i believe it streams in AAC.

@people, my apologies for forgetting a few things. The song was encoded using the mp3 L.A.M.E format at 128kbps.

Hi bickit,
To be honest i don't know anything about that codec but from my previous discussions with those in the know, i have been led to believe that 160kbps AAC equates to 192kbps MP3 and at codecs below this this is not really enough information for the best results. Using 160kbps AAC only produces file sizes of approx 4mb so still allows for plenty of Music with even a 2gb memory card plus enough space for video doc's and pictures.
Really though what ever produces a good enough result should be OK but as you said the results weren't really good enough why not advise your friend to try 160kbps AAC and see for himself if he can notice an improvement as surely that must be worthwhile.

Hey Marc,
Thanks but that is not quite what I need. I bought an application from Handango. It streams and does pretty much all I need. Now if you can find me a theme maker that is not too hard to use. I just want to edit a few themes that I already have.

Hi Boba,
I wouldn't have a clue how to start creating a theme or custom icons but the theme i am currently using screenshots on the previous page does have the nicest custom icons i have so far come across and this theme is very fast and using very little Ram which is what makes it my current favourite. I really am very grateful to all these people that take the time and effort to make these themes for us especially as they are all free. It just amazes me that some people sell there themes via various sites and usually they are not as good as the free ones either IMO.

...just a quickie: operamini just now updated itself on my e61 - and though I didn't notice any "obvious" changes at first: holy momma, really big improvement in terms of speed!!!! It's as if voda-ireland finally put some petrol in the engine!
No sh*t, at least twice as fast, and I have 3g currently off!
Maggflodd off to work

... happened to me with last update as well, btw... read some time ago on their forum, that occasionally with minor updates/bug fixes they do that - could be very e61-specific (since e61 has no camera, the pic-upload is obviously absent!) what happened today... if I hadn't had to re-setup, and if my skin hadn't changed back to default, I'd hardly have noticed...except it's much faster now....even scrolling etc!

Unless announces something miraculous next week, a Nokia E-series phone is in my future. I would love an E65, but it's expensive, and its 3G won't work in the USA. (I don't want to pay for something I can't use.) An E50 sounds like a better choice for me - anything I should know before I buy one? Is the font size really so terrible? Is it an "old" phone by now? (Nokia USA lists it as "coming soon"!)
I'd love an N95, but I have the same hang-up regarding 3G. And as a Mac and iTunes user, nothing compares to an iPod for ease of use, especially with multimedia synchronization.
