I think Android is a mighty fine OS.
Am bowled over.
Google market I rate over Appstore. It works
well and just feels so much more user friendly.
Maybe got to do with it not been so crowded
and theres some nice free stuff.
Love it love it LOVE IT.
Tsepz, its going to be a welcomed and refreshing
change for you which ever phone you decide on.
Battery life so far so good.A day and a bit.
Tonight will be my 3rd charge so hopefully it will
just improve a tad after a couple more cycles.

Ive just discovered the joys of customizing the three available homescreens on the X10 with Widgets, new folders,
shortcuts ect and finding that if done in a certain way, this thing becomes a multi-tasking monster.
Its fantastic.

Wangs
Im all of a sudden very glad to see the back of Apple.Good luck iPhoneHD.
Bring on Froyo 2.2,thats all I care about.
Even 2.1 will do.
In my opinion.nothing wrong with 1.6

Thanx for the info Hobbs! Im looking forward to Android more and more, the decision of which phone will be made on the day i think, cant be bothered to be forever going back and forth until i have both in my hands, but i realy hope that X10 gets Froyo,i think that will make my decision a lot easier.
That iPhone4 is decent,640x960 display incredible, other than that i think its the software that will be more interesting.

Well, I just scratched the Iphone 4 from my potential buys as I don't see anything that interests me in it.

Now it left to Nokia with their next Meego device. As it is the Moto Shadow is looking likely unless someone somewhere comes up with a P1 Android phone or Nokia stuns me with a super Meego touch screen phone.

Just downloaded PC Suite for Android (need something more than PC Companion) and the Android
SDK so I can take some screenshots (no app for that. The
phone has to be rooted)
Really enjoying the X10.Nice phone.

Hobbsta
Sounds great what apps have you installed? And hows web browsing on it? Are you using the built-in Android browser?

Ive installed
2010 World Cup (nice app for the World Cup.Keeps you up to date on everything thats going on.)
Advanced Task Killer (you gotta have this to kill background applications that drain your battery)
ASTRO File Manager
BBCNews (Like the ol' BBC)
Easy Tether & PDANet (to browse on my PC)
MXIT
Note Everything (nice simple note taking app)
Operamini 5
Dolphin Browser
(Skyfire still in BETA so I'll wait for a final version)
Speedtest
Tweetcaster (awesome Twitter client)
WIKI Mobile (to make me book-smart lol)

Going slow on the apps installation.Dont wanna clog this phone with JUNK!

Regarding the web browsing. Its fantastic.I quite like the + - ZOOM buttons better than the multi touch pinch/zoom.Also you can zoom quite a bit out till the text is quite small and still easily read.I dont even have to change to landscape much because everything fits on the screen just fine in portrait.
I use the default.Ive tried Operamini5,Ive tried the Dolphin Browser (gets a high rating in Market) and the default still kicks ass.
I use Operamini 5 when Im in a GPRS coverage area and I need the compression and speed.

Ya, I've been watching it here too.

@ gola:
Eish, I wish I was there to watch a match, but that ain't happening. I only go on leave a month after the world cup.

Good luck, Bafana Bafana.

Hey Hobbster, nice homescreen, boet. Me likes. BTW, yeah I've also downloaded most of Depeche Mode's iconic songs from MP3fiesta. As for The Cure, well I really dig their late '80's and early '90's stuff. Most days a song of theirs passes my ears in one of my folders playing on the PC while I'm working. Disintegration. Still my fave Cure album. I was doing a display in the main hall late this afternoon. I put on a compilation CD on the hall's PA system, and cranked up Plainsong while I worked. Dreamy, magical stuff, very effective after a very hectic day.
