He says 2.
He also while ago twitted phone would cost €700.
Colors liquid black, silver and green.

I would still keep my expectation very low. None of the leaked specs are anything special and proof better than the competitors. Camera is the the only thing that maybe interesting. We know 960fps @ 1080p is nice, but I don't have any faith in Sony software. Image quality probably still ended up behind every other competitors. Vibrating sound or whatever gimmicks has very limited suport.

That is good news then.

as for 2 phones, here is the deal, the media already got a hands on probably for the devices ahead of time or even the press releases, that doesn't mean Sony has kept a third device secret and will debut it at the show.

GSMArena has samples taken by S9+.
When you check them by using the zoom tool, you wonder if they were taken by S9+ or S2.
Some shots have ISO 50 but look like ISO 150.

About Sony and their secret stuff during trade fairs. Appears Sony have secret stuff that no one seems to know jack shite about. Just take the CES Las Vegas for instance. Sony displayed a TV capable of 10000 nits behind closed doors. No one saw that coming at all. A TV capable of showing 10000 nits running on the latest X1 Ultimate chip.

I hope for something like that at MWC.

Smartphone business are prone to be leaked, not with Electronics business, no one even knows Sony doesn't make the successor of the A1E, launch the more affordable A8F with the same specs instead.

Well the answer to that is literally that the newer OLED panels don't offer any significant upgrade over last years. A hypothetical A1F wouldn't really be any better than the A1E.

Xperia Blog twitted some stuff..

1) DVS is audio stuff, not stabilization for camera. According to Sony phones with DVS will be the loudest Xperia ever.
2) 960fps 1080p and 4k hdr were mentioned here already

Loudest Xperia ever? That's quite a claim consider Sony had the Xperia E1 which was supposed to achieve up to 100dB

if that is all there is then I don't see any selling point for average Joe unless pricing model is super competitive like One plus series. I don't see how this is Sony mobile time to shine, to me their light only gotten dimmer just before they become irrelevant which they pretty much had already. I guess Kaz did answer in investor meeting that they want to keep the mobile department around to to wait for the next big thing using the mobile parts and engineers...

Like 4K 60fps video capture with true HDR10 not the pseudo HDR crap and playback on its own screen in HDR10 or their tv lineup would have been more compelling, but still a hard sell. HDR10+ and Dolby Vision supported screen would have been a nice upgrade for the screen but doubtful since their TV division can't even figure out how to get that to work on their flagship TV line up.

the format of HDR recording will very likely be Hybrid Log-Gamma, not DV or HDR10.
Given that the XZ2 does not include the 3.5mm input, I hope that at least they give away some decent wireless headphones.
It seems that Xperia Ear Duo will be released in the same month as XZ2, no doubt they will have more presence now that everything will be wireless

Well they did added hlg hdr to a lot of their old hdr capable TV so that is still good to have. But their phone screen also need to support hlg, whether or not the camera can perform real time hdr video capture is probably the bigger question.
