Not sure if anyone's seen this Link text...
From 2:00 Put to rest any TS/MS speed worries for me.

thanks for the link.
it very fast and very responsive. I'm very happy.
That is the fastest I have seen TS run, I would love to know how many contacts they had in the phone as I am certain that will be a big factor in affecting performance. However based on that demo, I am more confident that I have been up to now.
I have owned the ... T68i T610, P800, P900, P910, P990, W950, P1, W960 But SE have now totally lost the plot. |

Ok folks. Somwthing you might be interested in. There's going to be 3 varients of the x10. We will be getting the regular version that we already know of and we're also getting an x10 mini and x10 mini pro. The standard mini is just a smaller version of the standard x10 and will have a 2.55 inch screen. The pro is the same as the mini except that it will also have a slide out full keyboard.

X10 Mini's UI is much more customized than X10's. I love it! But I'll go to X10.
The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand... Mediar's Site |

Yeah i noticed that too, the mini has fm radio and the X10 doesnt.
On top of that the mini has a 16 million color screen, while the X10 has 65 thousand despite then both running android 1.6 |

The screen colours - is that not a typo? I thought the OS limited it to 65k and if it is not a typo then what is stopping the X10 screen from being upgraded to 16M.

Exactly what I wanted to ask. If pathetic 64k colors in X10 is allegedly Android's 1.6 fault, how come this one has 16M colors and Android 1.6 too? |

They are probably right and SE don't know what they are talking about, once again...
Edit: here they say 262,144 colour TFT: http://www.sonyericsson.com/c[....]io/specification/xperiax10mini
OMG!

Hey Guys,
Really pleased to see these additional handsets that you are discussing. I am a little ashamed to say that after the first few posts which were a little scant in terms of detail, and sources, I had a bimble around on the web to try and find out more.. Of course I was relieved to see that the dedicated SE site Link text... had some more details. I also had a look at GSMA, and something else entirely caught my eye.
I am not trying to throw this thread "Off Topic" or discuss "Vaporware" to do down the X10, which I am very excited about but, the specs if not the form of a Samsung Phone, codenamed Halo do bear looking at.

Some other sites are suggesting this could be a Q3 release, and whilst it's form is n pretty fugly by comparison to Vivaz or X10, the pico projector notion seems a nice gimmick. Perhaps no more though. I do know of friends who have had real problems with Samsung TouchScreen UIs in the past tho and feel that this is just trying a bit too hard to do everything and may therefore fail to do anything at all well.. Perhaps a cautionary note for those here who want the X10 to come with the kitchen sink and a maid too?

Bye bye x10,

X10 Update
Lennard Hoornik, SE’s marketing chief, commented on the upgrade path for the X10 and confirmed what we already knew, that there would be one i.e. that it will get an upgrade to the latest version of Android. However, he also said that this would happen sometime before the end of the year! That seems like a very vague, and a very long, time scale. Make of it what you will.

Funny, the competition seems to be in no hurry to upgrade either:

And let's not even think of the Hero that has been around for donkey's years and still hasn't received the promised upgrade.
