Guyz why don't you just check weibo pages instead of asking him questions and making him feel free to pretend?
His info is from weibo even if he kills himself to pretend otherwise the truth is out there.

Pretty underwhelming S9 reveal by samsung. One thing I do like about s9 slow motion despite how similar they are is how they implemented it. I want Sony to copy how they using the sensor.
1. Using AI to detect the motion
2. Using the available dram in the sensor to quickly capture multiple shots to reduce the noise.

This thing can be done via a software update because the hardware is already there for XZ2 and XZ2C.

So XperiaBlog confirmed what Jo already told us months ago that the XZ2 will shoot 960fps @ 1080p (1 over the S9 already) which should be decent improvement over 720p. Looks like they've added more DRAM to the memory stacked sensor. 😀

But Sony's way lets you choose when you want to use the 960.

Not sure if I understood well but it seems it is going to go 960 every 2s, then it records 0.2s.
The issue is the gap, the moment you may want to record might happen withing this gap.
Also it is way harder to achieve blur free pics with OIS, at least on phones.

Ppl critics on Sony , but so far no phone that brought 1/2.3" had OIS.
Sony, Google, Meizu, WilleyFox..

I dont know if possibility of having OIS depends on size.

The imx400 has always been able to do it. When it was announced the specs say 1080p/720p for 960fps and 4K 60fps.
Because if they produce more units with more ram, the 2017 phones wont have it.

If they will bring to older on android 8.1 is another story.

something like f1.8 1/2.3 12 mp sensor even without ois will really help low light pics because pixels will have %50-60 more light(maybe even more) then current sensor with f2.0 lens.

apparently it could already do full had at 960fps

https://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/News/Press/201702/17-013E/

This newly developed sensor with DRAM delivers fast data readout speeds, making it possible to capture still images of fast-moving subjects with minimal focal plane distortion*2 as well as super slow motion movies at up to 1,000 frames per second (approximately 8x faster than conventional products*3) in full HD (1920x1080 pixels).

Sony probably gimped imx400 for the other phones, knowing other brands would also bring in high speed vids, like samsung.

Now the question remains, will sony now have 4k at 60fps on the new phoenes?

OIS can be put into a 1/2.3" easy, it would probably make the sensor module bigger but this year the phones have gotten a bit fatter, so I feel there is plenty of room now to add it. And yes OIS can be turned off, it has been an option on many lenses and even cameras, I posted this in the thread not to long ago.

OIS, f1.8 and a 1/2.3" sensor would be a huge move for sony and the industry.
