can any1 confirm for definate that there will b more announcements on or around 3gsm or is it just pure speculation at this point? Jedi-master seemed pretty certain there would be!! |

I don't think anyone can be certain.  has been playing its cards very close to its chest - for example, no one had any idea the K810i was being announced at all so we don't really know what to expect.
There are conflicting views over on MR but on here two fairly reliable sources have separately stated that there will be announcements in the next week - leading up to 3GSM in Barcelona.
Sources on se.nse.net have been saying for a while that 3GSM will be Sofias week.
No one can be 100% certain in my opinion however, Sofia has been on the cards for a long time and unless something has happened to have it delayed then we should be able to look forward to it making an appearance.

cool,all we cn do is wait and see then.the K810 design is very nice it is really growing on me,hope sofia looks as gud as this. |

The big problem is that rog over at M-R reacted to this post by are_s:

by saying:
"Better ask your contact again..."
And by my recollection, rog has always been right....  |

my back-up plan is to import an i-mobile 902 from ebay, it's a reasonable 300-400USD anyway... lol

well either the phones will be announced at 3gsm, or they have been pushed back because are too unstable.... though i was told sofia is fairly stable right now during network testing.,... most phones are ready to be produced, though some may not be stable enough, so again may not be announced....or the person in is just wrong and the phones were never planned to be announced at 3gsm ill try and get some confirmation from this person.
we'll see what happens in a few days

Now again is Sofia the first to have the new UI, if so a delay might be understandable but if it isn't then there really shouldn't be much to cause a delay.

3gsm and cebit may just be to show off the new fones they announced this week, why steal the thunder away from one of your most anticiapted phones, personally i would like to see something that blows us all away like axxxr's info a lil more up to dat with a screen that covers 16.7mil colors for that 5mp sensor ... yea i said it. |

if there is anything new it'll be shown monday, apparently 'Sofia' (K850i) & the first European Bravia Handset will be shown (according to rumours on other forums), but after today I'm sceptical at best...
