@mac I think, and this is just me, I don't know about anyone else *99***1# can only be used in SEs. You better get an edge phone to get better speeds.

Me 2 had this problem . It may be due to error in server file response type. Or invalid data packets |

Yup the speeds were too low during the day, but it is very good in the night. Am downloading with 2 dial ups now with max speed. |

hey ppl
abt the *99***1# number detection thing....u can bypass it by putting the following command in the extra initialization settings in the advanced tab of your bluetooth modem properties
AT+CBST=0,0,1;+CHSN=2,0,0,0;+CGDCONT=,,"airtelgprs.com"
and then use *99#

wats the benefit of using *99***1# over *99# does it improve the speed?
but it did nothing for me other than connecting to airtelgprs.
*99#
*99***1#
*99***2#
*99***3#
these all r working for me |

@dheeraj with *99# you can specify any profile using the modem initialization string with arguments. No scope for arguments when using *99***?# where ? is the profile. But, let me specify i've (it means me, by my knowledge, don't think that this is what the majority thinks) not come across any need for modem initialization in SE phones hence the latter technique where as in nokias you have to specify an initialization string.

This is a post hack . If you were able to browse changing the browser id . It will be better to change as any mobile browser id. For example change firefox to nokia 6630 mobile browser v1.5 symbian os or any thing like that |
