Hey guys, I'm off to SG next week. I'm on a tight sched so I would like to know if you guys have any tips on where best to buy a Digital Camera? I'll be staying at the Conrad. Any sites on the net so I can compare prices between there and the US before I go? Thanks. |

Go to Sim Lim Square, close to Bugis MRT station. Don't know of any web sites for price comparison, but check the prices in US first for a couple of cameras your interested of. Then decide how much you wanna pay, and then you go there and negotiate.

Whoa! Conrad! That's a six star hotel!
Beware of Sim Lim though. Their prices may be competetive but try to go with a local as many of the salesmen there can't be trusted and will try to rip you off, or convince you to buy something else other then the product you intended.

 Yeah they are at times. You must be fierce with them also. One warning though. DO NOT buy anything from this shop called S**g Bro*****. Very bad rep and they've cheated many people. Let's say you want to buy a panasonic cam, the sales guy will show you the cam and tell you that the quality is not very good blah, blah... Then he'll try to sell you another more expensive one and prove to you that that one is much better. Don't get fooled! They've been tampering with some of the internal parts of the products and demo kits!

orang3... i think when i bought my t300... they ticked the box to add Gee! Lite to my plan... so can i use the starhub website to configure my GPRS???

scottcmh: tell me if u're still unable to view the picts/transfer it from T68i to ur PDA (vice versa) as there's another method of doing so. However, this second method (which I have been currently doing) does not allow me to view the picts but just keep it in my PDA (I keep lts of them to free some space in my T68  )
revent: how's using the T300? Good? I have ordered mine online yesterday but I just saw the actual phone today. It's FAT & squarish. Do tell me the good things abt it so that I am not feeling bad as I do now 
I learnt that ST now charges MMS. Is that true? What abt the others?
I agree that those Sim Lim sellers are darn RUDE. Just becoz the sales are good, they seem to isolate the buyers & let them search for stuff themselves. Well... good things will always come to an end!
