Last week someone explained me about why pixels are RGB.
P30 Pro sensor uses RYR setup.
They say it provides better quality than RGB.
I have never heard about sensor with yellow pixel before. |

If but I'm not sure, Sony provides Huawei P30 Pro with sensors and cannot sort their own stuff out it'll be a disgrace. Even though I can't stand Huawei, they have done great things recently. |

When you said pixels I assumed display pixels. While sensor color pixels are also similar in using rgb, they have way more complicated calculations. And since they are used to capture light instead of emitting it, yellow might work as well. I've never heard a yellow filter sensor either. Huawei probably has a different way of color calculation.
@badassmam, i don't know for sure but I think I've read something about some center in China where they work together for sensors. You're also right, if they can't sort their stuff out it'll be a shame. Though I am optimistic about the future when enough time is passed for custom sensor and software development with aube. |

I saw samples of new huawei.
There was a fear of colour reproduction being affected because of the 50% being yellow.
I do not liked the WB, washed out to me.
Can someone please tell when Sony plans to move from this tiny 12MP?
Waiting 3 or 4 semesters again will be stupid.

That sensor is tailor-made for HUAWEI. Not even the unit price is expensive, HUAWEI also required to at least order certain amount. Xperia definitely cannot afford that. |

they sell xperia 1 for 1000$, no matter how much sell, it wont exceed 70-80 dolar cost per unit.

I disagree. The only interesting thing about the Xperia 1 is the 4K screen, there is nothing else that is appealing so for $1000 it should have more than those crappy Samsung low MP sensors.
The Xperia 10 has low scores, look at the scores that Motorola gets for that price point. |

The camera #2 of all iphones are isocell too.
List of phones with isocell have many devices from vivo and xiaomi.
Android Authority says that cine alta video app will come as update like the monochrome /bokeh for XZ2p.
Really this again? |

Thanks Hawk,
I think you are referring to:
"Sony is working with CineAlta to bring a powerful on-device video editor to its flagship. This software will arrive after the phone launches."
I'm not native English speaker but this part seems to be talking about Xperia 1, not other older flagship.
That's probably why they use "flagship" instead of "flagships"

If Xperia 2 is IFA phone.
And Xperia 4 a japanese midrange.
Is there any Xperia 3?
10 Ultra is real?

If they'll be this late to release AND deliver it without the announced features I wonder why don't they just announce 2 flagship phones at ifa only and call it a year.
Samsung once again reigns while others are still at least a month away. I think LG flags are also nowhere to be found. Is this still the Samsung grabbing all snapdragons case? Huawei has kirin so they don't have to wait? |

I just cannot believe why Sony went with 21:9 displays. Surely they will reverse that decision next year. Hopefully Xperia 1 can sell decently because Xperia 10 and 10+ will not sell at all. I am going to be surprised if they even sell 100k of them in total, probably at lot less. They are getting bad reviews and here in Sweden in all tech articles they are ridiculed for their looks, they really look ridiculous. |
