@nookie: I've read a couple of the posts and i just have to say this:
No one person is worth inviting misery. Happiness is not achieved through another, it is inside you all the time, all you have to do is look. Most of us go about our lives looking for things outside of ourselves; happiness, love, respect, etc. when what we should do is look into ourselves.

What I'd say is immerse yourself in the feeling of your misery. Kasi you would not be able to detach from it if you would not let it penetrate you. Let it penetrate you fully because only then would you be able to leave it.
Take your fear and pain and don't hold back these emotions. Just let yourself go through them kasi you could never get detached from these feelings if you are too busy being afraid of them in the first place.
Pero if you throw yourself in through them, you will know what pain is. You will know what love is. You will revel in the feeling of losing. And you will grieve. But only then could you say, "sige, I have experienced that emotion, and I recognize that emotion. Kaya, now I will detach myself from that emotion for a moment."
The emotion created by an instance shouldn't control your life. But it's okay (and advisable) to know it, and hone the feeling, and make it let you grow.
Tuesday's With Morrie galing ang concept na yan. And I find it practical than most profound insights. Simple lang pero rock yan tol. Walang plastikan.
