@GUCCI

You are impatient, aren't you? You just want your kinetic scrolling now

@Hobbs

If I can fijd a brand new E61 (wishful thinking) now I would buy it immediately despite S60. Some phones are just instant classic the minute they are released and this was without a doubt.

By the way, has anybody seen the Xperia Pureness around SA? I'm really contemplating getting the phone but not on my upgrade as that is reserved for Android. I am going to wait for its price drop of course. I really love the styling and the long battery life that comes with that monochrome screen. But, the most attractive thing for me is a lack of camera. I have quite a bit of engagements that require me to carry a camera-less phone and this is just perfect.

Of course I can go buy a Nokia 1100 but the build quality on that thing is really not good after a long period of usage.

Taken from The Register:

'LG eyes 'second biggest phone firm' status
Warns Samsung with 2010 sales forecast

LG aims to sell 140m mobile phones globally this year, with a view to becoming the worlds second largest handset maker by 2012.

The 2010 sales forecast would be a 20 per cent increase on LGs 2009 handset sales. Samsung currently the worlds number two in terms of handset sales shifted just under 200m phones in 2008 and hoped to sell just over that figure last year.

Roughly 1.2bn mobile phones were sold in the UK last year, according to Gartner. LG hasnt released its UK numbers for 2009 yet, but said that robust growth in emerging and European markets throughout the year helped push the value of its mobile arm up by 21 per cent to 21bn.

Nokia still leads the market and has already published a bullish global sales figure for 2010 500m handsets.

Android will be central to LG achieving its sales forecast, with the company promising to launch 20 smartphones this year, ten of which will be based on the Google OS.

Samsung unveiled its own OS, Bada, late last year. LG said it has no plans for such a move, though.'

@wanqa: Me want but what will I put on it? Mind you the battery life on my phone won't last that long to enjoy the goodies on that 32GB card.

Did you guys hear about the Cape Town businessman who gave away a brand new R8 and his possessions?

@ Hobbster n' Gucci:
Ya, I'm really surprised to see these retailing so cheaply at this early stage.

@ da brixsta:
LOL, it's all the numbers game again; I wouldn't be filling up a 32GB card on a phone either. Unless I start uploading some movies to watch while I'm on public transport.. which I can't quite see happening.

@ gola, Gucci, falcon and whatever other Gautengers are out there:
What's up with the donderse (excuse pun) weather there? The Pom cricket team must've paid a sangoma or two to perform some very effective rain dances over the past couple of days...

Get with the programme, Wanqa, it's just typical Highveld summer afternoon thunderstorms, LOL.
How convenient for England at this stage in the series.
