Dups
8520 must have a realy weak loudspeaker then.
Eish that touchpad sounds like the touch scroller on the n81, some days it worked flawlesly others it just did its own thing. Im sure it will be fixed with a fw update? You are still within the 7days return period, maybe you can take it back and ask for a 9000 or something else? You dont sound too happy with that 9700

I wonder how Rhino's mrs's Curve is in this regard, I somehow doubt it'd be different after the second one is doing as the first in my sister's case.

Anyway, I'm struggling with this trackpad on the 9700, I just can't get used to using it. Sometimes it is sensitive and other times it needs me to touch harder on it. Hopefully I'll get used to it.

@GUCCI

I don't really have serious complaints to be honest. I am not ditching cause I am really loving the BIS. I probably need to get used to the trackpad or like you point out it will be fixed via firmware update. Overall it doesn't excite me as a phone but the overall package is enough for me to keep it.

@Rhino8

Thanks for checking that out. I am not saying it is disappointingly low but that when the tv is slightly high in volume you will miss a call when on the table. The 9700 is loud enough. My P1 is not as loud as the 9700 but definitely louder that the Curve.

I saw that wanqs and I think it is ugly! It is a poor copy of a Nokia E63.

I am waiting for that 3", QWERTY plus touchscreen Android phone that is said to be better looking than this.

WinMo is just not for me.

For a company in trouble SE are fighting tooth and nail to stay in the game. Hardware is current and up to scratch and build quality has dramatically improved. It is only software that is letting them down.

Thanks GUCCI and thanks for that link. I haven't had time to look up apps as I'm still trying to get the hang of the phone.

Don't worry much about classes, time really does fly. Soon we will be talking about you entering the job market.

Good luck with your studies! Good luck to all the students!

@wanqs

I just realized what that phone really remind me of in design. It is the lovely Nokia E61, loved that design even though it was wide. That is one phone I wish Nokia could make in maemo. They should keep it as was without the camera. Was a beauty of a phone.

100% agree with you there Dups! The E61 was a beauty of a phone.My Korean friend still has his even though he moved on to the P1i and then the E71i.Cant blame him for keeping it.At the time I chose the P990i over the E61i.Dont regret it but wish I could have also gotten an E61.
