Vi-Vi-Vi: Did you have any trouble at all using your Pxxx on the flights?
I'm flying Northwest Airlines, and thought I'd better write to them to get some written confirmation that I could show the cabin crew if they were being dumb about flight mode. Unfortunately, the response I got was "there's no official guidance on smartphones, and it's up to the captain". Not exactly something I want to be troubling the captain with when I'd rather he was keeping an eye on the flying bit!
As it is, I think I'll just switch it to flight mode, use it and not worry unless someone asks. I keep the flip off, which helps it look more PDA/less phone anyway. |

A steward did ask me to turn it off a little after take off on the way there,I told her I had flight mode selected before she quickly replied "we dont accept that". In the British Airways flight information it does say flight mode can be used but not during take off and landing
only when your in transit. There isnt much radio contact at fl330 but I do believe there may be interference when landing, the last thing a pilot needs during vectoring is a phone searching for a signal coming through their nav1 and com1 radios. |

Was that club Desert Rain at Morongo or something, Palm Springs?
Looks familiar (recently got back from a very similar trip, including a white Chrysler Sebring Touring convertible piece of $h1t car!)...

Whenever you have an orange square on your phone, that means orange was there and screwed up your phone with their "special" menus.

No,that was the Rains club at the Palms casino.
Those Chrysler Sebrings are poor, both passenger and driver havto break wrists just to get the hood down. |

That was the exact sequence, caught us weaving in and out of cars.
Some women were using the mens toilets so I just picked the first available bathroom, funny how womens toilets still smell like a rose field. |
