I like the 21:9.
But is it worth?
1 has less screen than Xa Ultra, but is bigger.
If 2 has this 6.2" , area might be similar to XZP.
But 5mm bigger.

They are taller, not necessarily bigger. At least at 161mm it's around bigger galaxies so anyone complaining about its height will be just full of s#!t.
For daily tasks taller displays mean nothing because we don't have 2 vertically aligned eyes. Then again, these tall phones are looking kind of sleeker making the more traditional ones kinda look fat.
It still comes down to bezels imo. All of Sony's 21:9 phones need a couple of mms less. I don't think anyone will complain when these phones are almost all display. |

Is any phone going to use this design here?

Spoke to someone recently, they say that camera issues mean that they went for Samsung for MWC and if they sort their stuff out you will get the Sony sensors. It's still confusing because they could've used the 48MP that others are using. XZ2 Premium sensor could've been used with a protruding lens but they didn't and that would mean an earlier release. It's all very messy, still some question marks and consider that there are no proper and reliable camera samples.
Regarding the Compact. A tall aspect ratio means that it will be tall, what you consider a compact phone is gone from Sony so hold on to your traditional Compact phones for as long as possible. No clue on the specs though. Truly disappointed by this.
Xperia 10 is not doing well, forecast is poor and the quarter results will show this. |

Sony doesn't want to understand that Android is a spec race first. 10 should have had 636 & 4gb while 10+ should have had 660 or higher with 6gig.
Also, people are waiting for the 1. But it has late release. The Samsung sensor thing is pretty curious. I think they maybe were in a rush and couldn't use older sensors when they wanted ois. But now those sensors are the problem? I wonder if raw nr needs in house sensors.
But I believe if they added raw nr to xz2p main cam and ois it would have given better results. But we wouldn't have dual pixel af. |

Main is exmor according to their site.
Someone somewhere called it imx445, weibo maybe I dont remember.
The 586 is just a generic sensor, just like 214, 363, 362 etc ..
It is not just get a regular sensor and add DRAM, not that simple to make .
I dont know if besides China any other market gets 10 (4Gb) and 10+ (6Gb).
If iPhone Arena gave 7 to both, maybe they are not that bad.
A9 2018 and Essential got less than 5.
Gsma gave similar score they gave to motorola g series.
Reading reviews are becoming more and more waste of time lately, no matter the brand.
In my opinion tech sites know less than they want people to believe they know.
It is impossible that one device has so many different opinion if who are judging have knowledge about what they are talking about.
Quality of audio, screen, photos and videos are technical evaluation, not personal taste.
Answer has to be: great, average or bad.
Impossible one person says great, then another says average or bad.
I used to buy tons of those car magazines as teen, car reviews are much more similar opinion.

How can ppl feel that slow?
Z phones have weaker cpu and still can handle all apps.
New Motorola is 21:9 with ugly hole.
Let's see if any site will complain about the screen.
😏😏😏 , we know the answer.
Z phones used older OS, with older Apps, that OS and Apps were designed with the power of their SoC in mind.
With new hardware comes, the OS and App developers evolve to make use of it, this makes the high-end phones good but the low-end phones suffers. That's why Google started the Android One program, even Android One specific applications as a lightweight versions of the same app.

That's Android Go not One. Also 630 + 3gig is not bad enough to show problems in the ui. It's either glitchy software or some hardware incompatibility. Or most likely to be just s#!tty sw.
Most android one phones run smoothly without any specialized app. All Nokias are in android one program. Only the lowest end suffers which has significantly less potent hardware than 10.
