First of all thanks to all replies and the gaming tipps Tank hero looks good, the right thing for a long plane ride

Woke up this morning turned on Wifi and....it works like a charm and Im in love again with this device!
Discovered another killer feature this time related to Android and that´s maps! So much better than on the IPhone! And the navigation works great and it´s a non-paid feature. Grinding my teeth thinking that I paid 75.- on Navigon!!!!

Uploading some pics to the other thread, curious about your opinions....

P-S anyone an idea where to get movies, series for the Phone. On Ios you could buy them on Itunes, but it doesnt let me transfer them....

Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo delayed to Q3, Arc and Play facing limited supply due to Japanese quake

There hasn't been much good news coming out of Japan lately and this sadly keeps up with the unhappy trend. Sony Ericsson has officially bumped the broad launch (it's already available in limited quantities) of its Xperia Neo handset to at least July, explaining the delay as the result of "supply chain disruptions." Additionally, the Xperia Arc and Play devices, two other members of the company's new Android Gingerbread family, will be available in smaller volume than expected, at least for the near term. We guess that might go some way to explaining why the Xperia Play failed to reach some UK carriers in time for its April 1st launch date. Skip past the break for a statement from Sony Ericsson, who promises to be more explicit about the situation when it delivers its latest quarterly results on April 19th.

I called the Manila Sony stores today, the Arc & Neo availability timelines have definitely slid. No word on what the new dates are. Having said that, I pray Japan & its people recover from that triple quake-tsunami-nuclear disaster. If the supply lines firm up soon that's one good sign that the recovery is on the way.

And I also think made a very good job on UI.
Looks miles better than stock Android and I like it more than HTC Sense.
And SPB doesn't match this anymore. Just saw MobileReview review of it.

On one Arc review I've read that the new UX feels more Vanilla than those of Nexus S.

Well probably depends on which part.
Image gallery is stock Android - and it's great.
But than almost everything else is including icons and it is great.

It's no silly question.

Micro-HDMI to standard HDMI, in sweden we got it with the phone. Model: IM820 if you want SE cable. But I guess any Micro-HDMI will do

Edit: Micro HDMI is the right one, not Mini...

Forgot to mention! That´s another highlight of the Arc. Readability in direct sunlight is nigh perfect!

Must admit, the Arc has some strong assets going for itself!

Find out if your bootloader can be unlocked [Guide]

Sony Ericsson plans to open the bootloader across the new range of Xperia Android smartphones. Whilst we wait for Sony Ericsson to provide the official details on how to do this, we thought we’d provide a quick guide on how to find out if your handset has the capability to have its bootloader unlocked.

If you did't know, Gameloft has 50% and 2 for 1 offers,(depending on games) and every 10th game that is sold is free of charge. just surf to gameloft.com

and a notice i bought N.O.V.A and found out the hard way it does not support INVERTED aim...

Anyone know a Hardware Accelerated Movie Player for the ARC ? having trouble playing mkv files

finally, I got my xperia Arc today. Here in Malaysia, the price is RM2099 (about GBP 424 or 480euro). In the box it comes with several accessories:-
- wireless headset with FM radio MW600
- HDMI cable Im820
- Screen protector
- Car charger AN401
- 8GB memory card
- charger and USB cable.

First impression... very very very fast, even from first boot. very smooth. very good camera. very nice screen (bright) and so many good things.

negative side... not found yet. Will keep looking.

WOW! Shutgun solution.
Why not first check if you have a default gateway assigned to the Arc first? Why not check if MAC filtering is enabled? Why not assign a new IP lease on the router from the service provider (new IP address lease)? I'd check these first before resetting and setting up the router and all your devices to be reconnected.

a DHCP issue is not resolving www.esato.com to the correct IP address.
