Being the world’s slimmest 4G smartphone in its class2, Xperia M2 combines the ultra-fast Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 400 processor with 1.2 GHz quad-core CPUs and 4G LTE for fast performance and a 2300mAh battery with STAMINA Mode 3.0. Ideal for long days of heavy usage, Xperia E3 provides speed and durability for users on-the-go. |

Why don't you think that Z2 is may attract user from very first Z to upgrade
and next Z3 may attract Z1's buyer to considering upgrade?
sound insane but we're living in the fast-pace shifting trend.
-----------
If Sony split Japan's trend from the rest, there will have someone going to cries out loud again
why don't release this / that for worldwide model
find the balance act between these differences trend is hardest one, I think.
Xperia SX is very good example.
----------
And don't you know that what was happened with Samsung in Korea's market last year
late April they made official GS4 Exynos LTE, but two months later GS4 LTE-A was up by their major carrier, then by the year end GS4 waterproof version.

Another accessories...
It's called BSC10 it's a stand with magnetic connector to charge the phone, EVERY Xperia with magnetic connector will be usable... it also has Bluetooth and NFC with built in speaker to reproduce music or doing phone calls...
I'll surely buy it... it's a Magnetic Charging Dock plus a speaker and more... I love this accessor
it also has a LED to look fancy and for Notification
I say again... I LOVE THIS

I know that this is not the place, that it could start war and so on....
But guys there arre leaked pics of the Samsung Galaxy S5...
http://www.tuttoandroid.net/a[....]immagini-live-mwc-2014-177342/
Directly from the MWC... I do not know about hardware and software so I'm not judging that...
But honestly, they have done it, this S5 is even uglier than the S4 IMHO!!!!
also Bezels are bigger... maybe for waterproofness... if this is the real S5 then the Z2 comes out as a winner (just talking about DESIGN)
What is THIS SHIT?
I DO NOT WANT TO START A WAR... simply this is an answer to all those who are saying that the Xperia design is always the same... yes it is... but at least it is good |

@CrownedAkuma
Agreed. it's uglier then all galaxy phones which were ugly by themselves. my dislike for samsung design just rises to new heights. i think that now more people understand that bigger bezel probably got something to do with waterproofing design as well as other internals and that only sony can design waterproof phone that look great. |

Jesus that is one UGLY phone. The GS4 actually looked a lot better than the GS3, but goddamn, they f**ked it up real bad if that the GS5. Looks perceptibly worse than the Z2 and the HTC One (2014)....Looks worse than a GS4 even....
And that horrible faux-chrome ring that is so obviously plastic.... |

Absolutely... At this point I hope for samsung that this is not the real S5, just a prototype... |

like ALL samsung device, they sure know how to cut corners to maximum profit, just in a bad way that is too obvious this time around lol. (Use absolute cheapest material you can possibly find on the face of the earth). From the leaked Z2 software shots, it looks like Z2 will be rich with software features, even has some motion control that is not present in others. Only disappointment was that Sony still don't care about multi tasking. It looks like Small apps is still the same as they were. Samsung multi screen or was it from windows 8, is still a real multi task feature that every other phone should have.

I don't know if it is because everything got leaked, but I'm not that excited about these launches.
Xperia tablet z2 is definitely best android tablet so far, if I had the money, I would be looking for it.
as for the Z2 and E3 announcements, my words are: We'll wait (me and my contract ) to Compact Z2 or whatever is next, phones are getting bigger and bigger and I can't hold it anymore, I was already planning on selling my ZL because it's too big for my hands |

So, What do you think will happen?
Goldenface, I'm afraid I'm not really at liberty to say with much conviction. Your guess is as good as mine.
In a purely personal capacity, in vague terms: much may depend on Sony's restructuring. No company can survive bleeding finances for long (zombie companies aside). Sony have stepped up in recent months and the sell-off of non-core divisions such as VAIO was necessary, if not painful. I'm unconvinced that Bravia is the next to go. R&D for VAIO stopped last year but it continues in Bravia. 4K may be the last bastille as margins are much higher, but that too will erode.
Other divisions are brighter. FS remains their cashcow. Playstation is running ahead of estimates but the gaming division is not the ATM it once was. Questions hang over whether Sony can sustain the momentum. Imaging continues to impress, even if consumer sales don't. The positive outlook lies with Sony's B2B sensors. They hold a commanding position in the $7.7 billion market for sensors; over 30% market share. The nearest competitor holds half that. About 80% of sensors Sony makes are found outside Xperia.
Kaz has good vision but execution is always harder than generating ideas. Sony is akin to an oil tanker, not a hovercraft. Jettisoning cargo hardly helps turn the ship faster, so it is a question of time. Marketing and R&D budgets have increased the past year (which is a good sign), but they still pale in comparison to the multi-billions that Samsung spends. Some call Samsung the biggest marketing company in the world, not just electronics.
As for Xperia specifically: I'm concerned by lack of clarity and fast-rising rivals. Sony stated last year they would focus on mid and high-end smartphones, yet Kaz set a goal of being the 3rd largest phone maker. Even Apple concluded that they can't focus on high-margin flagships alone. Xperia sales did increase last year, but rivals are growing faster.
It's not the Koreans that pose the biggest danger to Sony; it's the Chinese. Huawei and Xiaomi are defying gravity with their "good enough" strategy of decent but affordable phones. They have ambition to move into foreign markets and are pushing hard into high-end products. Xperia designs have always been lauded, but the Chinese are not afraid to rapidly copy a winning design and sell it for half the price.
Sony knows they can't compete on specs alone and content will probably play an increasingly important role. Rapid updates of Xperia phones may help Sony stay one step ahead on paper temporarily, but it is not a sustainable strategy due to development costs and lack of economies of scale. |

Bravia line is quite important, atlaest their R&D are or we wouldn't have the awesome triliminos screen. W900 is amazing. Sony just need to find a away so they just have to break even and keep them around. |
