as u can see...1.7ghz nexus 4 scores 2636 while 1.7ghz nexus 10 scores 2956..
so i bet tegra 4 and exynos 5 quad will easily get 3000+ score ...and msm8974 will compete with them that time..haha |

Haven't seen this much positive buzz around a S(E) phone since x10. People on tech blogs seem to love Odin. Hope they can live up to the hype this time (unlike x10 )

No glass on back for Odin . Confirmed it today. Not sure the material though but probably like the T or ion.
It will be interesting to see which one does better. Its really a toss up. I'm torn as to which one I want.

And even if Odin does go on sale, it will be a VERY limited release. Sony is giving priority to Yuga for almost ALL markets over Odin.

That begs the question: Why does Odin even exist ? Seems to be a lot of confusion even among the fans. Wouldn't it be better for Sony to have one flagship and put its marketing money behind that one ? If it would be a clear geographical split (e.g. Odin for Japan, Yuga for the rest of the world) it would be clearer, but how are these two positioned ? |

Well Odin is much cheaper than the plastic S3 (uses cheaper material - metal) and has the form size of a S3 but with a larger screen. |

Randomuser did say there will be a mystery final flagship device of 2012 for Nov/Dec before IFA, so the V wasn't completely unknown.
Will Yuga have this display? http://www.j-display.com/english/news/2012/20121004.html
I would prefer this one: http://www.j-display.com/english/news/2012/20121018.html
I suppose the 2H flagship will have the second display?

This is focused on the software releases for the year .

I think for the US the most likely carrier is Verizon, at least for Yuga. Not sure Odin will be available via any carriers, just unlocked via Sony's stores and other retailers. The word is that Sony want control over the updates which is why AT&T said no, now they are shopping it to Verizon as an exclusive phone which they will back with megabucks marketing. The kicker is still full control over the updating process and none or little carrier branding.
It's a hot device right now, in Europe carriers are falling over themselves to carry it, with lots interested in short time exclusivity periods at the launch. Again Sony are said to be promising megabucks marketing for February and March.
I think there is a good chance Sony get it onto Verizon with minimal branding and control of updates because the device is so hot and Verizon are looking for a new replacement for the DNA which has flopped until they get their variant of the GS4.
Another one from Akira:

Hmm. Esato frontpage says annoucement will probably be tomorrow, January 3rd (due to date of phone set to January 3rd in pics) and not at CES. What's up with that? |
