So does anyone actually know when this thing will be available on the UK networks?
We're all waiting anxiously ...well, most of us anyway
All signs are pointing to Sept/Oct (based on links in the last page or three). But, where X1 will be released first no one knows. |

Do you think its a coincidence that on the official X1 pictures, if you view the full size ones (see here), the date on the device is September 24th 2008. Could this be the release date they are aiming for?

Hum, that is an old picture though. It has the windows mobile button instead of the x panel button. But I would be a cool way to show it on if it is true. |

Yes thats true, it is an old picture. So even if they were aiming for that date, things could have been delayed or something by now. Well I hope its no coincidence anyway.

HTC is the ODM of the X1. The X1 is an design however. Other than WM, is also handling the software.
ODM-(Original Design Manufacturer) A contract manufacturer that uses its own designs and intellectual property.

Just a bit of comparison from 2 different sources, X1 and HTC Touch Diamond. Looks like SE are getting something right. Looks good to me.
I appreciate there is still a way to go, but i'm thinking X1 is to be my next phone.

as I have previously said, the Panels user interface is much, much faster and getting to the performance of an iPhone in terms of speed and seemlessness.

I’ve been using the HTC Touch as my regular phone for over a year, so I won’t deny it. I jumped up and down a bit, such was my excitement to hear about the new “improved” version - the HTC Touch Diamond. And I was almost buzzing with anticipation when it arrived in the office yesterday.
But I’ll be honest. My first few experiences with the phone have dampened my ardour. It looks quite nice, with its diamondesque back and glass-dominated front, but it’s so slow it makes a British tennis player look nippy around the court.
