@ Hobbster n' da brixsta:

Yeah those handsets take up a lot of hand real estate (check how many lines on display for the sms, without needing to scroll down...!); fortunately they are pretty slim.

@ Gucci:
Had kak luck with the N900. The one pic of the N900 shows it switched on, but that example was pretty much hogged between some OVI store big-wig and 2 other suited business customers, which meant that I had fokkol chance of playing with it in the time that I was there...
The only other N900 there, the one I fiddled with, had exhausted its battery after being on the go since 8:30 in the morning, by the time I got there at 16:15PM. The Nokia chargers there were all securely attached to the live display models, meaning that it wasn't just a case of using a charger at the Nokia/OVI stand. When I suggested if we could try plug it in at a stand elsewhere, he was told that he had to remain with the handset at the OVI stand... FFS!

The N900 looks bulkier, due to the extra width and thickness compared to the N97 or N97 Mini. I think Nokia settled for the more matt/satin black finish on the rear of the N900 to make it appear less bulky. It's 18mm in thickness, thus more than the N97 Mini, so again it becomes evident. It's not a brick as such, but it is also heavier than either the N97 or N97 Mini.

OK, check this out, care of the Opera stand.

This is a live/ REAL TIME, global 'view' of Opera user concentrations around the world.
On top of that, kinda like Google Earth, you can zoom in and out, but can also rotate the 'Earth' to look at the Opera user concentrations anywhere in the world, right there and then, with the remote joystick. Check out Gauteng, LOL:

ALL
I think it was sometime beginning of this year when I read 'faith like potatoes', well, finally watched the movie and OH MY... Gotta say, I'm a bit picky when it comes to 100% SA made movies. But dang is this an awesome movie, a true one at that. It's such a shame that certain movies/stories like this don't get the recognition they deserve... You guys have to watch it, if you already haven't. Great stuff

@ gola:
You're welcome, boet. The better half watched Faith Like Potatoes last year, while I was esato'ing nearby on the PC.
She enjoyed it, but it's not my cup of tea.

Not too long ago I was talking about trying the new Powerball lottery so I can buy the Mercedes Benz S65 AMG and the BMW X 5M and... Okay, I'm now pushing it.

Anyway, my mother and my brother won 800 000GBP and 1000 000GBP respectively.
That's about 20 million rands combined!

That's if they had really won. You see, some idiots sent both sms messages saying their numbers had won that much and they had to contact them by email. The first to receive was my mother and I knew immediately that it was a scam. The text claimed it was a world cup promotion and she had to send the supplied code by email. My mother was all over me saying she had won after I repeatedly told her it was a scam. I sent the email to satisfy her curiosity and the response was that she had to come to England to claim her prize which settled it. My brother's was just another one of those strange promotions- not world cup this time- and I told him ignore it as the same thing happened to mom a week earlier.

It's not what you do or even how you do it but in what state of mind you do it: Dups! 2009

Had the very same sms last week, and ive had a couple of emails like that on my Vodamail account. Amazing the lengths people will go to scam others, and people realy fall for these all the time. Carte Blanche once did a story about this where a Australian couple lost thousands to some Nigerian scammers, and found themselves in debt, i could not believe people could be lead on so easily.
