Yep, 17th June was when the C905 was announced, so as usual we can expect a successor to be announced around the same time this year. And I'd say it will be 12Mp cause they won't be going over that this year at least (and most compact digital cameras being released at the moment are still sitting on the 12Mp mark!).

@oli i think that fits kokura  it'll be another 12mp phone from them. plus it was said long ago that it also uses symbian OS.

Yeah, could be. Maybe Kokura is Idou though. It could have had a name change, or Kokura may never have been.

that makes more sense. coz imagine two such phones competing for number 1 spot in sonyericsson's portfolio. unless the next 12mp phone is a dumb phone? |

Not necessarily. Idou isn't for everyone. I know there are a lot of people here that won't buy a phone that doesn't have a hardware keyboard. So if SE brings out a phone with 12Mp and a hardware keyboard, then the two phones can live along side each other in SE's portfolio.

According to the SE rep in this video from Phonedog.com about Idou, there will be more Entertainment Unlimited announcements in the spring with 2 new devices. One focusing on gaming and the other on messaging.

I quite like it, just preferably not in purple. I wouldn't buy it cause the portrait screen seems a bit of a weird design decision, but overall I really like the design style.
