I know I will sound like one of those who is never happy. I like the K750, and I like it a LOT. But I wished... Well I wished it was UMTS!
So many nice features, a lot of memory (compared to the K600) but no UMTS. This will be the year in which many networks will be launching UMTS for consumers, and it will probably finally have a lot of subscribers. So I wonder why the K750 is only 2.5G and not 3G.
I will probably buy it anyway but I know it will get old very soon (as soon as SE will release exactly the same phone but UMTS compatible, and I guess it will not be long).
I own a t610 and waited and waited for SE to release something that was really worth the upgrade (according to my needs, which means smaller than the S700 and not clambshell). Now they have but, I am afraid, it is still not exactly what I want.
You might argue that no phone is ever going to be perfect. But I reply saying that the only thing the K750 lacks to be perfect is UMTS support, so it is normal that I raise that point.
This phone is the closest to perfect (for me personally) that there is in SE's lineup today. |

I agree, but my point is not UMTS, but i wish it was a smartphone.
As much as i love my K700i, it, aswel as the K750, only support Java apps. So, i'll be giving the K750 a miss until we hear more about the next SE P series phone. If it does not live up to much, by then the W800 will be available and i'll get that instead.

For me smartphone is not that big of a deal, considered all the multimedia features of the phone. I have a notebook, so I use that
But on the other hand I agree with you that the Pxxx series is getting old. P800 P900 and P910 are only remakes of the same phone...
Anyway... Esato, the place were REALLY DEMANDING customers meet

Exactly, ofcourse SE can add everything to a new phone but the price will be to high.. they must be able to sell the phone.
We at Esato want everything in a phone.. all hightech

I wouldnt say the P910 is old, only the UIQ version it runs on is.
The point of me wanting a smartphone is so that i can do more, such as multi tasking, like being able to post on this forum whilst using other functions of my phone- On my K700i i have to close my wap browser just to check the time! |

k750 won´t support multitasking??? If v800 already does it...
k700i has a kind of multitasking - you can stay conected to My Friends + Radio/MP3 player and use the phone normally...i guess whats absent is a way to do it also with java apps |

@Arez
you just saved my day... I was about to ask if with the K750 you would have to stop listening to music in order to browse wap or check calendar and so on. If it is possible (according to your post it luckily is...) you just provided me with another good reason to upgrade...
Thank a lot

In K750, at least the MP3 player and Radio can be run in the background while doing other things in the foreground (seem to be similar to K700).

Yeah, for what i can understand multitasking in k750 will be similar to k700/s700/k500 - only radio, mp3 player and My friends
Does v800 have full multitasking
Well, to be true, i already can make lots of things without quiting from a java app, specially if i have a headset conected: i can make calls by pressing the headset button and using voice commands, and i can send sms by editing the Online Button shortcut (the "smsto:" homepage thing)...

I still cant check the time whilst browsing the internet though..
I truely hope SE give the K750 and W800 the option to do anything else whilst running one task, but i dont think SE will.
Come on please ?

I dont think you can! The antenna is built-in the headset.

Then why put a feature to keep the radio as alarm?
This means one has to plugin the headset and then go to sleep??
