with route66 and navicore, you don't pay any further connection charges unless you subscribe to some traffic service (route66).

with wayfinder, you get map updates etc via the internet so you'll probably pay for those.

connection to the gps receiver is free, cos it is via blutooth.

Route66 includes free traffic info (via GPRS), and automatic re-routing to avoid jams

I thought only the .app file was modified, so every 2006 UIQ map is usable. Or am I wrong?

As far as I know all route66 2006 maps work with the Route66 2006 crack. I have seen also the Alps map. I think the other maps are just not widely available for those looking for it.

Question: As far as I know Route66 2006 Europe does not have the Europe map included? I could not find any info on there site...
If this is true and as route66 2005 maps don't work on route66 2006 (as far as I know), this means that there is no Europe map and thus no route planning from lets say holland to spain?

Wow a long thread...

I havn't read it all so hopefully there's one out there who can help me

Is there any hope that route 66 (or any other GPS program) will work normally and problem-free on my P900 or will I have to change to a P910i to be able to get navigation...?¿?

Ugh! GBP 100,- for a map!

Even with the 256 mb MS, it's still bl**dy expensive. AND you have to buy the GBP 200,- UK version anyway. Compare that to Route66 Europe: GBP 250,- with ALL the maps!

These kinds of prices are the breeding ground for crackers...

i would guess even if the maps were £10 someone would spend the time cracking them. i can understand the 'expensive' price, it is giving them a chance at making some money off of the ' got to have it now ' brigade in the first months before every one can download them for zilch from the web.

I've lurked here for too long...

Okies, I've downloaded a trial of nhGPS (25Euro if I keep it) but there's no maps - you can add your own maps (and their site links to a tutorial on how to do this) but I can't find any maps that are big enough.
Has anyone else used the software?

http://www.nhgps.com/

I'd be interested in other software only packages as I already have a receiver...
