I used my T28 cable to flash my O2 branded phone using the files provided by iamcrunchie. I have just been to the SE Update Service and it has updated my phone. The firmware is still R2L but it seems a little different, i.e. the menu is more fluid, I noticed when I flashed my phone the speed was good but after selecting more than two icons it would stutter all over the place but now it doesn't. Maybe after flashing the phone its worth doing a "proper" update. |

No it doesn't cost anything to download the files, but you MUST have an account with available credits to enter the download area (no zero credit/old accounts allowed). |

the reason its stutter the first time you use the phone after first flashing is because as you enter each section of the phone it then properly installs/caches it so afterwards its speedy again |

Now that many of you have debranded the fone.
And have that Cable sitting around???
How about selling it to me and sent it to little old Sydney for me.
Anybody interested in selling their cable?

Been following this thread for a couple of days now, i'm really impressed of all the work you guys put into this!
Anyone think it'll be possible to unlock/debrand the k700 with the USB-cable in the near future?
Or like the .au-guy above, anyone want to sell me their cable? I don't mind if it's an modified T28-cable, just as long as it works.
Just drop me a PM or email me.
I'm located in Sweden.
Best Regards,

MultiServer supports the Fighter cable, which is USB-based. With it you can unbrand and flash the phone in about 7 mins (total). It runs at 921k baud...
Old-style Fighter cables are no longer available, but you can purchase a new style (UC-10) for $35US + shipping here: http://www.unlockcellular.com[....]fo.php?cPath=28&products_id=37
DSS cradle support should be squared away soon... |
