@droll: guess u're right, MagicLauncher's reboot takes place instantly
Anyhow, SMAN rocks! You guys rule!
Carry on the freeware-spirit (...or donorware, cardware, mailware etc.)
Let most of the commercial-crap-makers (except a few worthy ones) put their head down in shame when they read these four letters SMAN.
One thing i'd like to see/add to sman is the ability to customize
it a little bit. At least a selectable background or changeble
icons or stuff. Should be no big thing to add

...and a toolbar for file manager with operations hidden under button with finger..........
...and a process viewer, like the one in Switcher... |

actually there was a set of replacement buttons available on the SMan website to change the UI a little bit for older versions of SMan. I would be happy to try to make some cool new buttons if someone would send me an unpacked version of the old ones and explain how to repack them.
@ajack and droll
a few more questions...
1. Is there a way to make the flip closed SMan view default to Network Info? I know its nitpicking, but the first time I run SMan with the flip closed I have to switch which screen it shows.
2. For the Network Info Module to send an SMS there are two fields, SMS and Tel. What is the difference? and what format does the phone number need to be in?
3. Do snapshots alter how the flip closed flush works? If so, would it be possible to have two seperate snapshots, one for flipclosed and one for flip open?
Also more praise: I love the flush module in Flip closed mode. Now if I use a program while the flip closed, I can also exit that program. I no longer have to open the flip in order to quit tasks. I would like to somehow see what I am flushing while the flip is closed though. |

I second that knight...tried these icons but they don't look any better
(FOR ME) than the default ones
And i, too, would like to make a set of my own if i knew HOW...please ajack/droll?

You need BMCONV utility (available in UIQ SDK). It can convert from and to MBM files.
Download SMan.mbm file from your mobile, decompress it, change the images, recompress it, upload back to phone.
There are 98 frames in SMan.mbm (49 images + 49 masks)

_TB_TB: what do you mean by "a toolbar for file manager with operations hidden under button with finger" ???
knight4led:
1) fn->options->navigation. change "Startup" to whatever module you want. however, this applies to FC and FO modes. will consider a separate configuration for FC and FO.
2) the phone number needs to be in the format that your default Messaging app sees incoming SMSes as.
3) right now there's only one snapshot. a separate snapshot is possible but why not make use of another feature....go to fn->options->hotkey. then tap on the FlipClose tab and change any of the hotkey options to "Misc Terminate Task". i personally use "Ex-focus Short" for that. now whenver i'm done running an app in flipclosed, i just hit the hotkey button and sman automatically terminates the application that i am currently in. quite handy. |

@droll
1. A seperate startup for flip closed and flip open would be much appreciated. I would like to be able to use Network Info in FC and Task Manager in FO by default. If it isn't too much work I think this would be a killer feature.
3. I don't generally like to use the hotkey in flip open mode because I am fond of the access to the internet browser. I will consider using a hotkey in flip closed though since the internet button doesn't seem to do anything as far as I can tell. |

I know this has probably been asked a million times, but I can't get cookies to work on my connection. Can anyone send me the sman 1.4 .sis installer to lawrencedudley@gmail.com? Just the downloads are all behind cookies.
Thanks!! |

I am getting an error with the Bluejack module in v1.4 build 234. After I set up a default message the phone becomes very slow and unresponsive. None of the menus in SMan work after that.
I have managed to change to the app list once or twice after this happened and then I get"
"Program Closed
Program SMan
Reason code ViewSrv
Reason number 11"
If I don't get that message the phone simply freezes and I have to remove the battery and restart.
I am running a P910a with bluetooth R2C, Organizer R2A17 and CDA R2A16 |
