In phones, uw lenses seem to have smaller aperture and a tiny lens inside of a bigger one. Can't say for sure but when you look at the top lenses of iPhone 12, 1ii, S21 they all have this look. So they are probably the uw. It's harder to spot in renders though.
When will these new phones will be announced? Looks like there's an MWC in Shanghai in Feb, the one in Barcelona is not happening till summer. |

It is surprising to see L5 has new power/FPS.
Because L4 does not.
I hope it is below $250.
New Alpha (maybe A9iii) announcement tomorrow.
10a.m if you are in NYC, 3p.m in London.
Xperia Pro may be there too.

Seems like the recessed lenses are tele and main. The closest to surface in renders tend to be uw.
That compact phone is a mix of L3, L4 and Ace. It's 2021, fingerprint in power isn't that premium.
I don't see it succeeding at over $250.
We'll see what they'll announce tomorrow. |

I was expecting $1700-1800, not $2500.
If they priced that high, they know they have costumers enough.
Sony Alpha 1 = 50MP @30fps, 120 calculations/sec AF+AE
Imagine if they make 1iii with all this too. 😱😱

Oh not the video but the fact that two selling points of PRO are HDMI and mmWave antenna array. Also Verizon the only 5G carrier that didn't have sub6 now has sub6 deployed alongside mmWave. Now that all US nationwide carriers have sub6 I don't think Sony would even bother with mmWave on international devices. PRO is a US-centric device officially released through Verizon carrier and that alone brings US back to focused region once again. |
