Sony Xperia Rumours 2020 |

After every single attempt at merging a real camera to a bar type phone failed, Sony certainly would not do anything like this. Would be too thick, too heavy and if it comes from Sony it'd be way too expensive you'd be better off buying an Alpha camera. A tiny real variable zoom lens would have been cool but I don't think it's possible physically. |

Anyone knew the email app killed too?
It is possible, but it would be like Galaxy K Zoom.
It had sensor with exactly the specs of imx220 of Z series.
Galaxy K zoom = 20.7MP 1/2.3" , 24 - 240 mm, OIS, xenon flash
Except the thickness, the body is not that different from xz2c.
My Kodak is 1/2.3" 32-96mm (35mm eqv).
Even with aperture closing to 5.6 , the whole system looks as big as this concept.
Mine is this one below:

I have the dsc-w120. But these lenses are not tiny (sensors are). XZ2 design was... I don't know what happened there, see samsung put a freaking zoom camera in almost the same thickness. |

Lenses have differentes shapes, few can be aspheric.
Smartphones have flat lenses, less space required. |

Yeah the email app is gone but I've got the apk for it running. I'll switch to Gmail for Android 10. |

Seems unlik, but is there any chance we'll get a new Xperia Ear Duo? |

I think it was from IFA 2018, right? |

What improvement do you expect from a second gen Xperia ear? Those were the open type ones right?
Also interesting news from Samsung. They are shutting down the custom core department and ice universe said 108mp for s11 is highly likely. Sony shouldn't even think about using the 1/2.6" again. |

Old post of mr buks was about 12MP 1/1.7".
I think it will be the one.
To keep the lower noise, 10fps burst and 30 fps AE/AF calculations are easier at lower resolution, sadly!!
It is hard to take 12MP when you get used to 20.
Amount of details are huge, I can easily see great roof tiles of houses 100m away.
Close shots of flowers and bugs with great texture.
Corner softness is the only thing that bothers me on my photos.
Mainly on the right upper side.

Cc9 review of dxo shows samples from Huawei too. Looks as detailed at 10mp. It could be proof that we need bigger sensors than more mp. 1/1.7" is good, with rnr it'll probably be very clean and will probably have greater native dynamic range.
That short film didn't make it to tech sites interestingly. I wonder why. |

On youtube you can find videos from that Film Festival done with Xperia 1 in partnership with University of Art in San Francisco.
Difference between 1/1.7" and 1/1.3" is more than 50% size.
When you downscale these xiaomi photos to 16MP or 12MP , it still looks much better than pixel 4 and 11 pro.
19MP 1/1.5" would be enough.
I also want GM lenses instead of Zeiss. Glass lenses.
X1 looks bit less sharp in the middle than edges.
If X1 2020 comes with 12MP, it will be heavily bashed by readers and reviewers before they even take photos.
Because many chinese will use these Isocell 108MP.
There are rumors of p40 pro with 60MP 1/1.2"....
I have sent them like 20 suggestions....

This guy says Sony will make a midrange compact also X1 successor will have 3+1 cameras, one will be huge the other could be just a sensor (tof most likely) |

Where do you see about camera? All I see is that midrange compact and link to imgur with nothing interesting.
The team responsible for the display deserves a huge congrats.
I watched a video from Sony that the engineer talks about the challenges of doing what ismdone with those expensive Sony professional monitors on a phone.
When Bravia Oled came out, I watched a review of it compared to one LG oled.
They played one wildlife video somwe can we difference on both.
Today I found a video about X1, the same video played on it.
There is a green snake, X1 shows same green seen from A1E.
BONUS 1
" At default settings, the iPhone 11 Pro Max records video at 1080p Full HD resolution and 30 frames per second, but it achieves the best results at 4K resolution, which we have tested for this review." DxOmark team ....
All phones are tested using default video, they changed to achieve higher score. LOL
Bonus 2 : IMX686 announced , 64MP (probably QB and 1/1.7" like the isocell)

He must have deleted it, it was there. Maybe he got scared or something idk.
Sony is late to 64mp. I wonder why.
"Only Sony's image sensors can deliver." I think that's a shade at Samsung. |
