I want Vaio back too. My current Vaio needs replacing but there is nothing new.
I'd like to see more wireless headphones and accessories too

OT:
Is this thread still specialised to Xperia News or we can do all Sony stuff here ?

I'd say sleep and check back in the morning
maybe only low-end initiative but after Xiaomi introduce Redmi 2S, everything will be tougher for others.

Honestly, I'm waiting for some Android TV devices from Sony. I heard about some of them with PS Now integrated in. (It'd be even better if it was a HDMI-stick with remote control) |

Sorry to disappoint you guys but SONY won't unveil Z4 at CES. If they do, SONY mobile will send an email saying ''Something great is coming'' or ''something extraordinary'' like they previously did with the previous Z series |

I didn't expect it anyway but I am expecting some sort of campaign specifically promoting the Z4 and so far we have seen nothing, may be because it's too early. MWC is not until March.
The E4 recently passed FCC (which is always a clue) so that is due for announcement soon, if not later on today. I'll be staying up for the LiveStream.

I honestly don't believe people expected to see the Z4 at CES, the 810 is not ready and unveiling it now would be stupid and having to wait 2-3 months before a retail release.
As with previous years, CES has been more geared towards TVs, monitors, sometimes laptops, audio systems, cameras (mainly video) and home appliances. Mobile stuff is mostly left for Barcelona or IFA.
This doesn't mean that the Z4 is not present at the show and Sony could be showing it to their partners. |

I've read on tech sites that LG along with Sony will announce some TVs at CES. The "Star" will be an 8K TV. So maybe we'll see a new walkman, ultra thin 4K tablet and a 8K TV.
LG just announced their new OLED line up.. they are probably 2 to 3 years ahead of the competition when it comes OLED tech.. good call on buying that white OLED tech from Kodak a while back, its much cheaper to produce. I think Samsung and Sony are still working on RGB OLED, which is way more expensive at the moment.

Still no Flex2 at the press conference, maybe it will be at the end.
if the 810 will sell from february, then chances for Z4 maybe are possible now?
Ok just saw the flex2 during the press conference event, not bad, OIS built in and fullHD curved P-OLED screen. Well if sony doesn't deliver on the Z4, then might have to check out the flex2.

yup, if Sony decide to go with the s805 for Z4, they might as well pack up and shut down their mobile division now. Although I find the first flex really annoying to look at and to use, I am sure HTC or Samsung will be using s801 or something on the same level. Only other option I will accept the Z4 is Tegra X1 which nvidia said it won't be available until later this year not even sure how K1 will stack up with S801 with its battery and performance. |

Besides the SoC and more power efficient screen I really wonder how many people with opt in for a cheaper G3 now especially as the 32GB variant of the G3 has 3GB of RAM as the G Flex 2 maxes out with 2GB regardless of the internal memory. They have the same screen size, same camera, same rear mounted buttons and both will run Android 5.0 with ease. So unless you want a phone that can bend, why wouldn't you go for the G3.
