@rog,
Wow that is something really cool. I like what sony's doing with the software, but its so subtle and just not advertised. Also could you confirm how the flap for the micro sim and sd card are? According to gsm arena it looks kind of fiddly, and i think it doesnt sit well?

Can't say much about battery life yet, but don't expect much more than a day I guess...
The flap is easy to open, a bit harder to close. But since you only open this very occasionally, I don't see a problem with it.
What I also noticed: the NFC reacts much faster and from further away than any other NFC enabled phone I used so far (XPeria S, Xperia P). That's really nice.

Kool, so once its closed, does it feel like somethings bulging out? Or does it feel smooth? Because its just to the side of the phone, it looks like you can feel some gap there when holding?

@rog
Thanks for the info.
I can get 2 days out of my Xperia S with S3 processor. I was hoping for better battery life with the S4 and a slightly larger battery.

The Sony Xperia T has just finished its run through our gauntlet of benchmarks, and we can finally see how this Sony dual-core Krait stands up against the competition.

The Quadrant score seems quite low and also other benchmarks are lower than what GSMarena managed at IFA.Also its sad to see that browser performance is poor compared to GS3. In the Xperia S Sony had optimized the browser really well to perform better than GS2/Note. But unfortunately that doesn't seem to be the case with the T
Infact the T scores almost the same as Xperia S in browser benchmarks.
@Rog
If it's not too much of a trouble can you run the same benchmarks that GSMArena ran ? Especially Quadrant. Run it about 3-5 times as it's erratic.

Yes the quadrant scores do look weird, especially when Tx in that same test manages to get over 1000 points higher.

So.. it seems... Xperia T/TX/V are just nothing spectacular ( as Sony tried to convince us with the first faked benchmarks - totally Sony style ). Not only they're not not the best, as the first fake benchmarks claimed, but they also show that the dual-core processor just can't match its quad-core competitors. They proved once again that this year will be just like any other - trying to catch up with Samsung, HTC, Motorola, LG and Meizu.
The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand... Mediar's Site |

Why don't you just shut up for a change ? Enough with your "fake" allegations against Sony. |

As much as I appreciate your contribution to the Forum, I think you vendetta against mediar is becoming a bit too personal. Whether you like it or, aside from many futile comments he is also right about certain things. So to make him shut up and way worse, call him a racist, is completely off order! |

Oh is that so ? When he actually made racist comments against Japan and insulted the people of Japan you didn't say anything to him as far as I remember, but you do think its necessary to stop me when I call him a racist which he is and even admits it himself.
If this was any other forum mediar would be banned by now for posting racist remarks but instead here I get warned for pointing it out. Great
Would you ignore such a racist comment if it were directed to Swedish/Finnish/Hungarian/British/Austrian people instead of Japanese since most members here seem to be from these countries ?

Guys this is Esato! Not some junk forum. Lets not fight over stupid things, but if its completely unavoidable there is always the garbage thread.
Whether its hatred or not for japanese, or for a company, we just cannot force anything on anyone(That's what marketing is for ).
Let's just maintain a healthy and logical discussion. If you dislike something, give a reasonable basis for the dislike and vice versa. Imagine going to a doctor and complaining all day that your not well, but never tell why.
I am not trying to single out anyone or asking them to leave(it wouldn't matter either way)...
So lets all calm down and keep posting

I'm sorry but sometimes it's really difficult to control. I am usually very patient but there's always a limit. It's really frustrating to see his hate posts on every topic ruining a perfectly healthy discussion.
It's been a lot more difficult to ignore ever since he made those statements about Japan. |
