So what's the big argue about S/// showing new phones at CeBIT.
S/// will have between 20-25 pressconferences around europe tuesday 5 march at 11 a clock CET. They will show T68i, MCA 20 and a bunch of other new products.
I don't think there will be a S/// pressconference in Hannover at CeBIT because they will show all the new products next week.
Of course you now wonder why.
Because N will have their pc in Hannover at CeBIT. S/// want to be shure the'll much publicity, and of course they don't want to be the last one of the big manufacturers to show their 3G-phone!
BTW, the leak of T68i comes from S/// and they love it.

BTW, as I've said earlier, there is an MMS test going on in Budapest. There is an Ericsson HQ in Budapest too (two of my friends are working there - the phones are not from them, of course). I've found advertisments on the hungarian net about it (some guys are selling them).

Aha!!! I knew it was a marketing ploy by  ! ..suddenly new models leaking out, infos posted by new posters, rumors left and right.. thats one hell of a marketing gimick to get everyone excited!! .. and its working wonderfully..  |

I personaly think that this is NO marketing tactique from SonyEricsson because they do not have to advertise a much anticipated phone like the T68i on discussion forums. Most people who read these forums know a great deal about the phone and don't need SE to advertise it for them.
Another thing is that SE will never endorse such advertising practices, maybe Deadman woks for SE or knows people who work for them, but no way SE would have approved something like this.
I think we should give Deadman some credit for getting us the first T68i pictures on the net. |

hi there, i was in amsterdam today in holland. and i wanna to know about the software upgrading.. he told me that the new software is gonne called ..d2 rd2 r2d e dont know exectly which one.. but something with d and 2... than i told him that on the 4th of march r1a will be releached.. and that it's in the new t68i... is the name of the software in each country differt??? cause i read here that it's calles r1a....

100% - never
1.software is slower than cheaper phones
2.menu functions take more button presses than i'm used to.
3.the front silver buttons are cheaply made with stick on foil plastic.
4.phone was premature, released with more bugs than early Windows versions.
no, i'm far from 100% happy with it...it's a good phone on paper, but far from complete in reality. |

Good Marketing strategy produce good results, 245 replies and 13655 views on this thread in just 1 week is a very good result, but add word of mouth to that... you do the math.. :D:D |

Remember that the T68m has all those hidden games and stuff, THAT is the extra memory!!! The T68i WON'T have the hidden shit...
That's why it the memory is 'larger', but as soon as our phone is updated to T68i, we'll have the same...

Think about, since the release of the T68 SE have been building up to the MMS software. The T68i is just a redesign to coincide with the release of MMS and the SE partnership. That makes sense doesn't it?

this could also be the reason there has been no comercials for the t68 (to my knowledge at least) it would make more sense to make a campaign now when mms is availible than to have made a campaign back in october and then a new one now... |

Yeah that's something I thought was strange, no adverts for the T68, I haven't seen any in any magazines except for reviews. The only add I've seen is a couple of billboards on the London Underground, but not many and not very big. |

I think that the reason for not having any commercials is that they know that itīs not an good idea to promote a phone that the canīt produce enough of...

This topic is not a marketing strategy because I started it and I don't work for SE and I don't know anyone who is working for SE.The reason is that so many people are lokking this topic is the fact that they're interested in it!
I'm afraid that our T68m even after the software upgrading won't be the same as T68i considering the HW and SW features as well. I don't belive that it is possible to change the display and picture quality by software - only with HW. Of course this my personal opinion.
I was thinking about changing my T68m to T68i but I will wait until they release it officially because here in Hungary they take the unofficial phones seriously. |
