X2 as a phone is good, its the best until the Touch Pro gets its replacement which is much later. The company has let itself down with delays and because of Satio etc. there is a lack of confidence and so on. There is no point clearing out a shop window for the 'X2 coming soon' when you could advertise and sell stuff that is there. No fault of the phone itself.
Back to the phone, there have been a few changes here and there like how Tilewave has slowly evolved to be more useful than the first sightings. Not much else to say but it should be in shops.
I'd love to have the radio there!

Always have great respect for what you have to say badassmam but although it may be good wihin the confines of WM is it good enough to stand up to what's being announced on other OS's? And as far as I can see at the moment it's more expensive than HTC HD2 at play.com (£499 vs £489) seems a bit of a swallow. Which stores are you expecting to stock it in UK, high street or online only?

Why wouldn't it stand up?
It has everything to be a great device and as you see,
also at Xda,
reports say it's good.....

Statements from Voda and SE on X2 drop quoted here
Also note the fate of the N97 mini which is poo though not as monumentally toweringly unbelievably awful as N97 Classic, it's not just SE; if products are poor they don't succeed, if a series are poor then that manufacturer (deservedly) is punished in the market and their reputation suffers and therefore they are given less slack with faults. A lesson for all the bleaters round here who are convinced of an anti SE conspiracy they're in a hole of their own making and Nokia are doing their best to jump in there with them. |

The X2 was a Vodafone exclusive in the UK. Does that now mean that the UK will not get the X2 or does it leave the door open for other operators to take it on?
At the rate they are going, with handsets being pulled from sale a lot, we wont be seeing in the UK much longer.

At the rate SE is moving we won't
be seeing any of their products worldwide. As much a I like their phones I don't see them surviving much longer if they don't catch a wake up.
It's not what you do or even how you do it but in what state of mind you do it: Dups! 2009 |

A bit of news that you won't like. WinMo 7 is closer than we think as in summer/autumn time so the X2 will become even more dated, I can't see it being a success at all. You won't be able to upgrade the software either. At MWC you are going to see loads of WinMo devices from everyone but Nokia, cheaper and more powerful and its a real shame that the X2 didn't get a faster processor because its going to kill it
Yes the phone is good but its too expensive when it eventually comes out and its slower than the rest. It should have come out in summer 2009. Its a total fudge up by and its no wonder that they are in trouble. If they do decide to bring out a WinMo 7 phone, it won't be soon. If the strategy is going to be based on X2 success, you won't see much resources going into the next one |

Ok thanks for that...
What doesn't really change the fact I personally don't see the alternative.

Is there anything the X2 offers that you feel the need to upgrade from the X1 (if you have it)? |
