 | I think we know everyone's view on the subject- now all we can do is wait as to how finishes this phone up, and if we can/can't accept it. We can start another hot topic in the meantime - how about the missing lens cover?

 | Well its not a cyber-shot if it hasn't got a lens cover - obviously. The W900i didn't have one and that seemed to survive ok. |

As you pointed out that you always slide your phone open everytime you use it, of course it won't seem crippled to you. But to me it is annoying to have to open the slide for text messages, installed apps, settings, internet, etc. I like things simple.

Oh, the jog dial thing was responding to goldenface when he asked how should they keep the phone as good looking with a 3 inch screen. It was a suggestion not that it will happen.

The answer is simple too. Get yourself a Satio.

 | Somehow I expected you'd say something like that. You need to appreciate the fact that some people will like/ love a particular phone, in this case Aino, but have a problem with the egonomics. This also helps the manufacturer improve on its future design. It's not what you do or even how you do it but in what state of mind you do it: Dups! 2009 |

Lol, i said that in a lighthearted way, dude. Hence the smiley in the end. I have absolutely no problems in this phone becoming full touch before release. If it helps sell more Ainos, I'm all for it! Just that for my particular usage habits, there's just about enough touch that I wanted in a phone.

Just about. Now who's gonna hack Netfront to make it touch enabled? Any takers?

Was just trying to point out another con(for some)that can do nothing about.
But about the cyber-shot- I thought EU was to combine the best of WM and C-S worlds?
The lenscover is definitely less important than a/f though, but you'd think a 8mpx phone would deserve one- like the idou's(you know what phone I mean
  ) over it's 12mpx one. |

Pretty sure it was ditched in favor of keeping a slim profile. As long as the lens cover is mineral glass and not plastic, i wouldn't worry too much. From personal experience, they withstand wear and tear very well, unless you take a boulder to it on purpose.

 | @synn: yeah, that's probably true, a lens cover would add to bulk and the mineral glass one is better than ones like my friend's w300 plastic one -it was definitely no toughie |
