I have a questiin about the C510's speed... My C702 is horribly slow... So slow it's downright painful. Can anyone tell me how the C510 measures up? |

Yes indeed its not slow mine has not once slowed or crashed as yet anyway. I had it over a week now. My memory card is nearly full but no slows. I applaud SE for this phone. Although its not perfect(what phone is?)it has features and great performance for a cheap price. Very reliable too. Cant moan. Only thing i hate is camera is not great indoors which is not good for CyberShot.

Maybe a firmware update update should fix it. |

Can anyone please confirm if the facebook application is still there on the Orange branded UK version?
You know how they are for stripping things off for their FW.

The black C510 is now in stock at Tesco for 109.97 pounds including 10 quid credit:

Most likely unbranded both phone as firmware, since it's on O2's network. Will still be locked to Tesco thought, might be able to use O2 sims on it, but I'm not sure.

I've now gotten myself a C510... And I'm pretty pleased with it, except I miss the GPS
However, how scrath-resistant is the display of C510? I've yet to take the protective cover it came in off... |

You can use a Tesco sim in an O2 phone but not O2 sim in Tesco mobile. But. You can get it unlocked by Tesco after you spend £30 or something with them. Just the same as Virgin do. |

Can you zoom in on full 3.2 meg pics or is it the same as the c702 where you can not use zoom on anything other than vGA pics.

@volvoman
I cannot remember any phone that has the zoom option other than in the VGA mode. Then again, digital zoom doesn't make much sense, it just makes the picture increasingly pixelated.
Cheers!

I never use zoom on phone cameras digital zoom is not even worth having. Only use zoom on photos already taken.

I have a C510 on Three which comes with the Facebook app and Windows Live Messenger etc.
On Three's website it says:
"Sony Ericsson C510
The Sony Ericsson C510 is a simple, affordable Cyber-shot phone.
The C510's key features are HSDPA, 3.2MP camera with Photo Light, nice slick camera lens cover and SMS conversation view.
Features:
Integrated Facebook Application
Windows Live Messenger integrated in Phonebook
YouTube Viewer / Uploader
3.2 MP Cybershot camera with photo light
HSDPA"
Has anyone got the 'Windows Live Messenger integrated in Phonebook' to work???
I don't see anything to do with WLM in the contacts.

I would of imagined there would be a place to add the Windows Live ID when you edit a contact. Is that not so?
