If you post your videos on stage6 (stage6.divx.com) it will be better quality (especially the camera recording one).
Thanks. |

@ PeterKay
Just wanted to say that I commend you on your efforts and diligence in helping everybody here on the forums and answering everybodys questions about the W960 (even if a lot of them were repeated).
But I was curious about one thing that concerns me with the phone. I'm used to loading up my SE phone with music and videos etc. through a card reader with external media and for the most part is pretty quick.
I was wondering what the transfer speeds were like with the W960. On the SE site, it's claimed that transferring 1GB worth of data could be transferred in under 3 minutes, but is this a drag and drop method, or is it some other program used to load the phone with media (like Disc2Phone or something similar).
And I was just curious if the phone had a stand-by clock screen? Might seem insignificant to others, but I think it's pretty important to have a clock showing without having to push any buttons.
Again, thanks for all of your help. It's greatly appreciated. |

Sorry to ask question again. I saw videos that they said that W960i is more finger friendly, have you tried it using your fingers PK? Is it finger friendly and precise? I mean mostly everyone in here would use the on screen keyboard, so I don't know if it would be precise(I hope it's not as frustrating as the iPhone)
Could you post a video for messaging with W960i? Like typing or using onscreen keyboard. I'm really looking forward into that. Thanks again!

One of the videos uploaded on the front page show me using fingers and the screen and to be honest its precise as can be! very easy to use, tick boxes and handwriting is easy without using the stylus.
Regarding transfer speed of data, i have not tried USB transfer yet only bluetooth transfer, maximum transfer i have done is a 100mb file without any problems, surely with USB it will be much faster, will confirm this when tested.
More answers later.

Transfer rate is the same of w950. It's very very fast with drag and drop and with disc2phone or another program.
It goes in full usb2, 480MBs against 14MBs of P1 or any other device. |

i think it could be usefull to watch a video where there are basic functions done with the fingers.
i try to explain:
_block/unblock the screen with bottom-left + other switch
_set the phone in silence mode (bottom-right swtch)
_write an sms
_answer a call
_call a friend (his number is in the rubrica)
_receive a message and reply to it...
maybe they could be considered "silly" or OT...but IMHO i would like to see the w960 behaviour... what do u think?

To help you decide consider the following:
1) Walkman feature, Moods and more!
2) Keyboard layout
3) Memory capacity built in (8gb in W960i)
4) More RAM available (in W960i)
5) Better screen & stronger (in W960i)
6) Speaker Volume (much louder in W960i)
7) Build Quality
Stylus change
To be honest, i would go for the W960i even though the P1i is not bad.
More features added and better casing on the W960i i think.

P1 is a very good phone, but if w960 cost much more, there is a reason... |
