this title should be changed not to P700i instead of P1000
I like the name P1000 than P700 it looks more better and powerful. P1000 sounds like it going to be 1 hell of a device, hope so. Now I am thinking shall I buy P990i from the ebay or wait for the P1000?. Is it true, P990i will get 9.3 OS update?

Make your mind up boy, earlier you said we should change P700 to P1000, now P700.
If its P700, do you know anything about P1000?

af and a flash and it's mine, any ideas?
if not then i'm sceptical, as i do need a flash for night time shots.
sounds very interesting this thought, the only thing that stopped me buying m600 was the lack of camera |

well then, the P700 is definately for you then, 3.2mp cam is just what was needed and have implemented it. However the phone is just slightly thicker.

A xenon flash would make this perfect in nearly every way.
I'm even willing to put up with the QVGA recording (25+ fps hopefully), but yes, this would be the perfect phone for me.
Does anyone think it will have the same OS update as the P990i? It makes sense for to have a standard UI across its smartphone range.

yes i agree, i don't own a digital camera, so my phone is my primary camera. i'm not overly bothered about the new cybershot with 5pm, as i only take quick snaps most of the time.
as long as it has xenon flash i'll be more than happy.
in terms of marketing i can't see why they wouldn't put one on there. last year the major selling point of the k series was the xenon flash, so nothing else had one, but this year it's the 5mp, so perhaps other phones will have the flash.
i will definitely buy one if it does. |

It has been said that the P700i won't be Cyber-Shot branded and I suspect the Xenon flash will be reserved for the Cyber-Shot range.
A pity really although I have managed to take some decent shots with the 2.0MP AF cam on my W900i.

yea you can take decent shots, but only in bright light. a lot of the time it's a lot more difficult when you're out in clubs and bars, or camping.
xenon flash please... |
