I really don't understand why you say that the Multimedia in the E61i isn't that great as although i only have the E61 both the Music player and video playback on that screen is stunning and every bit as good as it was on my N93 which i will admit did surprise me.
Re the E90 or P1 well it all depends on if you need or want a touchscreen or not but spec's wise the E90 has much more and of course that massive screen and proper qwerty but really i depends on what you prefer and need it to do.

Okay, my classmates E61's mp3 player sounded a tad worse than my E60 which made me wonder. Im just checking up on the E61i coz its much better than my N72, which i assure you all is a temporary phone. The E61i is my idea of a phone/ affordable communicator. Is it the software of the phone or were my ears bad?

I know this is the "E" thread but I have a question for some Symbian Series 60 V. 3'ers.
Is there a simple and easy to use theme maker/editor out there? The one on the Nokia site is almost impossible to use. Not that it isn't good but it is very complicated.
Thanks.

A lot would depend on which headphones and how the tracks where encoded as if their 56kbps using the stock headphones it wouldn't be the same as 160kbps AAC with a Nokia 3.5m adapter and a pair of Shure E2g headphones the results are truly stunning and on par with a dedicated MP3 player IMHO. If it really wasn't up to the job i wouldn't bother with it, there is nothing worse than listening to average quality music.

Good post Dogmann,
I pretty much only encode at 160 and above if I do not purchase the music. In my experience, the music player on the E61 is very good. I have the N95 and I can hear a bit of a hiss. I am using a pair of Shure E5c's so maybe this is the problem because with these boys you can hear everything, good and bad.

Although when i got my E61 i was told i would need themes specially created for it there are loads of really nice themes for nearly all tastes. My current favourite gives me 25.3 Ram on start up and has some great custom icons. I am going to start a E61 themes thread and will post either links to the themes or at least the sites where they can be found here is my current favourite Ultimatus Vista_320 .

Super nice thread dude.
I have to admit that my E61 just sits now while I am running around with my N95.
I have a pretty cool E61 though. I got it in Kuwait and it has Arabic keys. Looks nice and different.

Hi sapporababy,
I have to find some that lives where Gmask trades to send them a complete E61 housing so they can get it covered in Carbon Fibre as i have seen a modded E61 and it is just awesome. One of the best links is this one or themes.
http://www.e-series.org/nokia-e61-themes/
Here IMO is the essential place for all things E-Series including themes for all and even modding and modded devices.

@everyone, i hadnt tried the same song thing, but the equilisers were identical. I had them both on 'bass booster' and the E61 was flatter. In use were the old, but highly potent nokia hds-3 headset, which im still using on the N72. The E60 had more bass. Today, i experimented using the same headset and the test song was coldplay's yellow.
The E61 sounded waaay better than before, but still flat.....Though you could hear every instrument! Next is to find the pop port 3.5mm headphone jack and match it with massive techniks headphones!
