I just bought the software from my-symbian.
If it has any update, for example, the next one would be 1.40,would it be free?
And just now,it exited suddenly and I had to register it again.

| Level 3 memory release indeed exits the two main user interface programs (Activity/Main menu), for the purpose of making as much memory available as possible, so you can runn other programs in an optimal environment. However, Level 3 should never freeze the phone, just those two menu apps will need time when you start them up again. So, do not use Level 3 just for fun, especially if you intend to use those two menu apps soon again, because they will start up slow.

| The time that the cleanup process takes depends on how fast the programs react to the close request. Normally it takes about 5 seconds alltogether. Try a reboot if it consistently behaves differently.

| Is this version public (1.31 ) yet? |
| No. Apparently the pre-release versions we send out to testers tend to be leaked out recently. New public release is likely to happen in about a week from now.

| Yes. Upgrades are free within the same major version.

| shame on anyone who got their apps from crack sites, especially excellent, worth-the-money ones like SM Pro 1.30 |
| Actually the future of this program (and surely of others!) strongly depends on the attitude of users about honoring the invested work. So it all depends on you guys.

| Yes. So, if you buy 1.30 or 1.56 or 1.xx then you get all upgrades for free until it reaches 2.00.

| Running programs are automatically closed when the standby view is displayed and you don't touch the phone for about 2 minutes.

| and memory reclaim level 1,2? |
| The levels mean increasing force to maximize the amount of memory available for running programs.

| Swiss Manager Pro is equally useable in both flip modes. Just invoke it in FC mode and see.

| Yes, more releases are coming soon.

| Flip Extender (our program) and Magic Profiles (SymbianWave's program) are examples of what could be done on UIQ2 but can not be done on UIQ3. Unfortunately you are not likely to see these for the P990.

Lisa,
I know you know a lot of stuff in this area, and we all are grateful for sharing it...
I really loved the Magic Profiles. What would be the constraints why these cannot be implemented? Is it the Symbian signing? Is it the UIQ3 security?

| If you smoke the proper stuff you will see anything you want and more... More seriously: we can't exactly know what programs will be brought to UIQ3, we just can predict that some of those apps that could fill a gap on UIQ2 will not be able to do the same on UIQ3, because those gaps are now fully occupied by security paranoia.

| Security first, then Symbian Signed as a consequence. But please let me refrain from getting into a "political" discussion here - this is a program support thread. Please open another thread for talking about other stuff.

Just a quick question, how much does this effect the battery when you have swiss manager running all the time? |

| Your mileage may vary, but there is an M600 lying next to me that is used only for testing, and SMP is running on it continuously - its uptime is currently 15 days, battery level is 82 %, and I honestly don't remember when it was charged last time.

Bloody hell. Thats crazy, my p990 doesn't last that long with Swiss manager constantly working. I can't think of a good place to place the icon. Can you recommend anywhere good to have it? |

I suppose the M600 is just on standby mode.
Cannot believe the battery is only at 82% if the phone is under normal usage though. That is impossible. |

| Yes, you are absolutely right. As I said, the mentioned phone is only used for testing, so it's mainly idling - therefore it's perfect for judging whether SMP by itself consumes a lot of energy or not (which was the question above).
