hi, i asked this question on a separate thread earlier, but i think i didnt make my self clear the first time around-
does the  player on the W950 (yes, it is indeed v2.0) look up tunes via the TrackID system as the W850 does? (the reason i ask this is because the W950 was announced before the W850, and I couldnt find any mention of TrackID at that time)

Well here to help you again. Yes I am fairly sure that the W950 uses Track ID. It is also worth a mention that W950 has more functions in the Walkman program compared to the W850 etc. In mobile-review it said about the W850.

thanks again, shaliron. yeah hopefully it does. dunno if the W950 protos floating around have close-to-finalised firmware; it'd be nice if one of the owners post here (daz?) and confirm. TrackID is a MAJOR selling point. for me, at least

why is the W950i not available in the list of phone when you select the region as midle east ? ? ?

I was at the cinema yesterday and watched Pirates. The Girl on the seat in front of me had a W950 fully working and was showing it of the guy next to her.
I was like WTF can I touch it plz.
She must have thought I was one craazy guy LOL |

I'm rather disappointed that the W950's release is now only Q4 but it's exactly what I want. Tough that it doesn't have a camera but the P990's too big & a 4GB MS Duo will cost way too much here in SA. Happy to wait. |

W950 has no memory slot and it does have radio. M600 doesn't have radio. Oh, W950 doesn't have QWERTY keyboard either. W950 also adds USB 2.0 High speed, Walkman player, Graphical equalizer and Mega Bass.
Check this link for a good comparison between P990, W950, & M600. I did find one error in it though. Bluetooth is 2.0 not 1.2

i just compared the phones on the sony ericsson site. and it says that the w950 donest have a speaker phone and im like WTF.
any idea.. |
