I just upgraded from R1L CHINA to R1N with ease.

Does anyone else have problem focusing on low-light? I haven't done a master reset yet.

I am on Vodafone in the UK (EU_3) and the SEUS tells me that my software is up to date. I have R1L002. Does anyone know when R1N035 will be available or has anybody managed to update their firmware on a Vodafone UK (EU_3) phone?
Cheers.

I am very sad with this new firmware. After upgrade my bluetooth and irda can send files but it cant recieve anything, it is in some way blocked to recieve any file, i have checked all bluetooth setings and are allright, but i cant belive even my irda not working right :angry

I've just tried sending a file to my phone and its fine. I would suggest perhaps re-pairing your phone with the device you are sending it from, but it still doesn't explain why irda isn't working.

for HUWL i made a master reset settings ant the problem is resolved, my irda and bluetooth are working fine again

Anyone seeing any odd screen flicker issues when doing large or continuos BT file transfers? Also, what exactly does recovery mode do? Does it wipe the phone and load a fresh copy of the FW on it or does it mearly upgrade parts of it as the verification mode seems to be doing?

Sender's name now visible when receiving a file via Bluetooth. Only after accepting a file.

To okay:

Disabling any firewall you have running should solve it.

HELP!

Got the updated USB UPDATE drivers, installed the SE disc - got my phone switched on and connected to the USB with the official lead...

But the update java applet just sticks on 'initialising devise please wait'.

I've been at this for 2 hours now... anyone know what is wrong please?

Happens to me all the time. Basically at this point the Java software is comparing your phone's firmware against the current version on the SEUS server. If your USB drivers weren't correctly installed, you would of got a message like "no phone found" before the initialising message.

Try this:
Open task manager
Select processes tab
Find process JAVAW.EXE
Terminate it.
Reboot PC.
...Silver Xperia Arc, 32GB SD card...
okay
