That is a very nice phone. I would take that in 3 month's time if it had Android. I have resolved to try this touchscreen only thing since it doesn't seem like I'm getting a QWERTY touchscreen phone.
This thing has everything that I would need except for Windows Mobile.

As expected, the few reviews I've read slag it off for the poor Os even though the customization by SE is lauded.
S60 v5 was never a good idea for too many reasons.
Also, poor build quality is a bit of a problem which sounds just like SE.
I just hope and pray Rachael is up to scratch when it comes to build quality cause everything else is up to scratch. I just don't want a plasticky Rachael in my hands!

I played about with a buddy's HTC Touch Pro 2 the other evening. That baby packs a powerful processor! It streams YouTube effortlessly, although I daresay that it'll be a tad data-intensive. Some really good features, for a WinMo handset.

LMAO Hobbster
As much as I like what it offers, I've spent too much recently on other toys like bikes, stuff for the bikes n' other sh!t to contemplate purchasing the Satio; even after a few price drops methinks it'll still be a fair bit to cough up, LOL.
Not saying it won't ever happen though... who knows.
Eish, I bought a cheap (550) third bike off eBay, in early August, and I've been gradually giving it a delightful post-apocalyptic/Mad-Max style look. Welded chains holding the mirrors, 2 fire extinguishers welded together to form the petrol tank, tractor seat, etc etc. Gonna hand-paint it with that black rubberised paint that the use on the back of bakkie load areas, called Durabak (marketed as Protectakote in the UK).
I've learned something about doing one-off vehicles though. Estimate a total cost, then treble it; there's that many unforeseen n' extra modifications n' things with such projects.
Hopefully I'll finish it over the next week or two, and then capture the final product with the trusty P1i...

Going to wait til i personaly try it before i say anything like i did with W995. For me s60v5 is fine, its not that different from V3, what i hate is that there is no s60v5 with a dpad under the screen,in the N97 and Mini you have to slide out that large keypad just to use the dpad. If people expect the iPhone or Android experience in S60v5 then they should forget it, it gets the job done very well but does take some getting used to like any other OS at 1st,just my 2cents though, maybe im wrong.

Clicked on the Downloads folder on my E90 and all that is in there is an Ovi store icon.Clicked on it and entered the store. The first featured app on the list is Gravity, selling for a whopping R81.20.Hilarious.Who in their right mind is going to spend R81.20 on Gravity when you can find one gratis.

@Hobbs: It might seem strange but there's actually people who'll part with that money for an app...even @ the equivalent of $10.
Speaking of apps, I can't wait for Augmented Reality to come over to S60...my friend the wirelessmonkey has been saving about Layar on the HTC Dream and a similiar app on the iPhone 3G S.

@Rhino:Check out the note he wrote on Augmented Reality on his Facebook page which I also posted on my page a couple of days ago. Its got pictures showing the apps features in an around Cape Town. Ever wondered why some wiki articles about buildings/structures/locations have their GPS co-ordinates included? Well apps like Layar answers that.
Birds are tweeting in Cape Town today, that's my queue to get out of the house, away from the PC and onto the beach...I swear, we only have good weather on the weekends which is allright with me

So finaly hit up the Download! app and it updated itself to Ovi Store, and its absolutely fantastic! What in the world are people complaining about??? busy browsing it right now on a normal GPRS connection and its working just fine, very smooth, fast and easy, nothing like that awful Download! app. This has to be the millionth time ive listened to a bunch of people on the net and almost missed out on something good, just because its not like Fruit and the App Store of the fruit phone. Downloading an app is simple especialy since i already had an Ovi account. Theres loads of apps, some i had no idea even exsisted for S60, such as Point&Find, just point the camera of your phone to something like a movie poster and it finds info on it. Busy looking at free Apps like the fact they have a discription and screenshot(s) there so you know what its all about. Overall im impressed, it doesnt look like the fruit's Appstore but its just as good IMO, cant say which is better, both are just realy convenient to have,i cant realy complain to be honest, just dont get what people didnt like about it.
