Yea, my v600 (which is 5 years old and still being used from time to time) lasts over 2 weeks on standby. But i hardly use it, but its still a good sign.
On the other hand, i believe the htc dream batt is not bad at all, i charged it on monday afternoon, and had to charge it again this morning, and i surfed, using wifi for about 4 hours using the phone yesterday.

@wanqs

I noticed something on my P1 that is beginning to bug me a lot and was wondering if it is happening to yours.

My 'ALT' key (only that key) dims at times while the rest of the keys are lit normally. It does come back to normal after a while but I'm worried that my backlight is failing me. This has been going on (and off) for a while now, the phone itself is working perfectly.

Esh, no Dups. All the keys on mine light up as normal, including the ALT key on the bottom right of the keypad.
Sounds like one of those backlights may be playing up..

Okay wanqs.

I hope it's nothing serious cause I really love this phone and intend to use it for as long as it takes.

I'm up for an upgrade in January and I don't feel excited about anything on offer. Went to test potential phone-the Blackberry Bold- and was left wondering if I will enjoy it like the P1.

It has a super bright and crisp screen abeit 'short' and it is quite fast, a pleasure to type on and the trackball thingy is wonderful when scrolling.

Wonderful browser too.

Sounds perfect but having used the P1 with its touchscreen made the experience rather uninspiring plus it is too wide.

I'm 85% sold on the Bold but I really left underwhelmed. I just wish someone can bring out a P1 type phone in Android. I know my second phone is going to be Android. As much as I hate touchscreen only phones but I am forced to pick one since no manufacturer entertains my wishes.

So, Rachael is a certainty on being my second phone.

@Rhino In general I've found it extremely hard to track down free South African music in general so tracking down Afrikaans music I wouldnt be able to help you there.

LOL! I see Audi are taking a hit at Ferrari, just saw the Audi R8 ad. A red R8 is driving through Italy, and from the bits i saw it was supposed to make the Italians look ridiculous as it drives through, i saw bits of it and only realised at the end that aint no regular ad when the R8 drives past a road side board, saying Maranello didnt quite pick up what else it said but the moment i saw Maranello thats when hit home, R8 is made in Germany, and one of its closest rivals, the beautiful F430 Ferrari is made in Maranello, the home of Ferrari, hope it plays again, saw it just 10mins ago on BBC Knowledge whilest channel hopping lol. Going to check for it on YouTube. Dups you'll love it how i hate that R8 lol.

I am also on the mweb 3GB package. But we use between 1 and 2 1.5GB bundles extra a month @ R99/1.5GB.

Its not the cheapest, but at least it works.

A while ago I was searching for that track by Andre de Villiers, Memories. I eventually found it on a site which features an eclectic mix of music. The dude in charge, Gnther, is quite the music buff, so it might be worthwhile checking it out. The site is http://halfhearteddude.wordpress.com

I'm not superstitious, merely mildly stitious.
