So went in to the Vodashop thinking we going to get the HTC then go . . . . 45mins later we leave with a BlackBerry8900 Curve lol, must say its realy nice. My mum liked the HTC but when she saw the 8900 she couldnt resist, its realy small, has a very high quality screen, good camera, realy nice cover/carry case thingy and it looks far better than the Snap. Shes hardly used it cause im on it

I have a problem with the ease of getting a new contract from the cellular providers.
And that is what is going to be my downfall.. As things are, I carried over R350 from last month on my MTN anytime 100 contract, so I really dont need more credit, but , now i will be getting R100/month on an MTN topup anytime as weell...

Oh by the way, I should get my New HTC G1 ANDROID phone today (IF MTN GETS MY SIM ACTIVE BEFORE 1PM)

Congratulations Rhino.I hope you enjoy your new HTC and dont neglect your new 5800 to much.
As far as I go (I can hear Gucci sniggling in the background even though it is the truth) I won't be getting a new phone ever again until my E90 and iPhone are in their graves. When all my contracts are due, they are been terminated and I will go onto prepaid and just chuck on R350 airtime a month. So far the iPhone is getting preferrential treatment over the E90 which just stays in my bag and sleeps. But its a solid phone and will treat me well in the future I'm sure. But for now the iPhone is a full bag of tricks and treats.

Sorry Ive been so quiet.Im on my 3rd week of quitting smoking, been kindly assisted by a prescription medication called Zyban. So far it works a treat. You start taking the tablets for two weeks while carrying on smoking. After two weeks you quit and just stop smoking.Yes the temptations and thoughts are there but you just dont bother smoking anymore. Its a 3 month program,so still got a way to go and the hard part only starts when you stop the tablets and have to fend for yourself. But at least it gives you a fighting chance because without this medication history says I last a couple of hours before I give in.Smoking is one of the hardest drugs to kick, and I've done my fair share of indulging in the illegals.lol

@GUCCI Glad your mother got fully paid out.On her choosing a Blackberry, the jury is still out on that one lol But you seem to like it so it can't be half that bad.

Hope everyone is well and holding thumbs that South Africa beat England to advance further in the competition.

Wifi tethering on the iPhone using MyWi (fantastic app turning phone into WiFi hotspot, beats PDANet hands down because you dont need additional PC software installed) Plug iPhone into netbook, open MyWi and click ON,find hotspot in Wireless connections on netbook, click connect and happy browsing.Wonderlik! Its also pretty darn fast if you using the latest Opera Pc browser.

Congrats Rhino!
Hobbs
LOL! The only other phones i can see you buying are the N900 and iPhone3GS when your E90 and iPhone3G are done.
Glad to you hear you're trying to stop a horrible habit lol, my father tried to stop 11years ago, in '98 he stopped but by 2000 he was back to it and has been on and off since.
The Blackberry is good, but after using it all night and helping her set it up i must say im happy with Symbian S60. Under the beautiful UI, stand by screen and Menu of BB is a boring average OS that is just so overrated. The reason we sat at Vodashop for 45mins was cause i was trying to convince her to get either the E71 or E75, I think NOKIA still offer the best value for money, but offcourse i was out numbered by her and the dude who is going to earn greater commission off selling a BB plus BB Services

Zyban, you say? I should speak to my doc about it... about time that I kicked the habit as well.

So I've finally given in to the Symbian craving and acquired an E90. I've downloaded all the necessary hacking goodies, but time hasn't been my friend over the past few days that it's been in my clutches. The only thing which I've installed has been Mobipocket, and as Hobbs correctly mentioned when he installed it on his handset, it's AWESOME!! Gawd, all that real estate makes reading such a pleasure!

Congrats on your new E90 Kryps!
Eish we were woken up with awful news this morning, my Mums friend got a Merc ML63 AMG a few weeks so her and her family were driving down to Easter Cape. Long story short the husband and one of the got burnt alive after getting into a accident, the ML63 went up in flames, the husband and child werent able to make it out,but the wife and the other 2kids were, but all 3 are critical and have been transfered to East London. dont know if it will be on the news, but from what we've heard it was an awful scene. I was with these 3kids just a week ago they were playin on my Playstation, was teaching them how to play Gran Tourismo, such a good bunch of kids, and now 1 is dead and the other 2 are fighting for their lives in hospital, oldest is just 7yearsold shocking, my mum only told me now about the kids.

Damn Gucci, that's terrible! I'm certain that I heard it mentioned in a news report earlier today.

@Hobbs, I have heard good things wrt zyban, but it also has its negative effects which docs dont always tell. back to my googlephone, it is waiting for me on my bedside table, the mrs forced me to come fishing with her paarents, where we are camping, there is no power and with the result being, me being able to play wirh it.i can say that the screen is brrright, its more than amazing. I am only going to get to play with it tomorrow afternoon, and i can promise you guys, ITS PURE HELL!!!

On the other hand, i am online with my trusty m600 and since i am still using it, i guess the fears that i might neglect the 5800 is groundless.
