Thanks. My SIM card is totally unlocked. But can I ask you then why i can't have the latest version of firmware?

I presume you mean the lock on the phone in the menu I suggested is unlocked...

If that is the case I would try again and see what SEUS says...

maybe the phone region is not allowed to update to R1N.... best think is to drop SE a e-mail and ask.... Give them the details of your phone like CDA and what not....

Hi

I have a K750I on Orange in the U.K. & I am running the R1N035 firmware.

I too started suffering the file transfer lose after this upgrade but have since fixed the problem.

Formatting the memory stick via Windows using the USB cable & then uploading my files again has fixed the problem & sorted out the media player not playing files issue too.

I still have the strange blue bars flashing across the screen when im transferring files between the pc & phone via the USB cable problem though.

Can anyone confirm this works? I wont have the chance to try until i finish work and I'd just like to know if I would be wasting my time or not! Seeing as SEUS is back up again dishing out R1N does that mean its a fixed version? I mean they wouldnt just put it back up if it was upgrading duff firmware would they?

So many questions.... at least SE gives me something to do whilst im at work, especially now as i cant watch films on my phone because they are all corrupt!!! >:(

@leviath: everything is unlocked on my Sim, yeah. There's just annoying Vodafone logos (not ON the mobile but in the soft) and special sounds... But in Belgium you can't sell a mobile for a specified operator, so i'm sure it's not locked. Anyway, i can't update to latest version. So 'ill try again and tell SE support if it doesn't work. Thx a lot! [addsig]

AHHHH sell me that fish....

Vodafone and O2 have not signed for the update as far as I know....

You may have a sim free fone but they got it branded to vodafone....

For sure fo shue....

That means that the CDA wont le33t you update for the reasons above...

you can still unbrand your mobile using the companies mentione B4, risks are the same..... [addsig]

Sorry?

And if I go to a SE official center, they'll be able to flash my phone to the latest official SE firmware? [addsig]

I mean that your phone is unlocked but they managed to sell you a vodafone branded set...

You can take all those vodafone logos and sounds off by using davinci or totalmultiserver but the risks are the same as I mentioned on my first reply to you...

And to your latest, yes

If you take your mobile to a SE service center they will update it to the latest for you branded or not...

I never said it was a GUARANTEED fix for the problems.

The FACT was my K750I started losing & corrupting files on the memory stick after upgrading ( If thats what you can call it ) to the R1N035 firmware & also the media player was now screwed up.

After formatting the memory stick & uploading the files again the problems have gone.

I wont bother posting again if im going to be called a LIAR!

End of my participation on here.

Please can we respect that some phones have bugs that others will not see because we all have different customisation / branding. This forum is to share experiences and faults in the aim of helping each other. We are not here to call each other L1ars.

oh ok of course im on the same brandin n av been pickin at this prob for ages but the format solves the BUG for 1 person only?? yep ok. rite so tell how on earth is a formatting a memory stick gonna solve an actual media player fault?? (aint talkin bout mashed up files not playin coz that aint a 'media player' fault is it)
Aint gonna argue i removed the 'LIAR' so dry ya eyes n let others go ahead n format just to find the problem is still there! no big deal to me been there, done it, still got the bug end of!!

@Tina.x5

No one is perfect, least of all little old me...

But one thing I learned to be a very ugly thing to call somebody....

Liar and thiefe....

I read somewhere that the words are the way your thoughts dress in a forum....

Heck anywhere really....

So I just leave it up to you guys to be civil.... not really sure if me saying any of this is a good idea but hopefully no one will get the wrong idea by it...

Anyway The facty is SE was dishing out a buggered upgrade by fault of the messenger wich as now been updated to resolve issues therein contained....

Many people with updated phones by this means and update are showing diferent problems (all I got to do is read in diferent topics about it)

So saying what solves it for one is not what soves it for another is a valid argument even if a not completly real representation of the situation regarding these said buggered upgrades....

So having said this...

Now that SE seems to gradually come back either a reflash using the new client or a quick visit to SE service center may just iron out these situations....

If not I suggest youd be trying to get new handsets.....

Well, it is possible that a firmware "upgrade" can modify the memory stick controller software as the controller is firmware based. So technically a re-format of a card under a different firmware revision can fix card issues.

In R1N I just noticed that I can save phone numbers and email addresses in sms messages through the more menu. I'm sure I couldn't with R1L... Can someone with R1L check please...
