i've now tried to set up an experimental bluejack with my mate and his 6600 under controlled conditions(lol)! And when i open a contact and click send as... select bluetooth, it scans for devices in range. I find the 6600 but when i send the contact a msg pops up on the screen of the 6600 askin if he will accept a bluetooth msg from "The Son Of Satan"(my blue tooth name) why wont it go staright thro??
Help!

That is, as I know, the essence of bjacking. It is supposed to not go in directly. But ppl still look like they've got no clue to what happened when they get that msg... :)

@gaurav.agg:
No program is necessary to bjack, but manx px00 users take advantage of sman, though it sounds boring.
@kim:
I only send out the number to my former asshole of an employer with the title 'victim for prankcalling'. Works like a charm!

@KiMcHeEbOi
Yeah, you think the others have gone bored of the whole thing?
@MTNT68i
remember that the bluetooth only reaches 10 meters and people might be walking away from you aswell...
I know confusing, but hang in there! One of these beautiful spring days you'll catch a poor bastard! =) |

I'm still doing it.... much to my girlfriend's annoyance!
I keep having similar problems, finding people, then getting sending failed.... I think either people have set their phones to have :bt: on but not to recieve or something, and yes, them walking away.
When I do get someone, they seem to have their phone on silent, so I can't find who I've just bluejacked without looking suspicious, and they probably only realise they've been done when I'm miles away!

Did my first Bluejacking Friday! I was in the cafeteria at NASA Johnson Space Center (Yes, NASA!) I created a contact (rather lame I must admit) "You have been Bluejacked! " in my T616. When I pressed send via BT, SIX phones came up!!!! One by one I sent them the message. Three of the people were at the same table, and started passing their phones around, looking puzzled. I made a bolt for the loo to stop laughing. I may have to eat lunch in the cafeteria more often now!
Glad I spent a week reading and learning from the Forum before I tried BJ! |

BJ is something altogether different, my friends!
try bjacking or 'jacking' or :bt:jack or whatever, but not BJ!

The reason why Burgaz bluejack wouldnt go through is because the phone he was trying to bj was a series 60 nokia..
Series 60 nokia's require the phone owners permission for the bluetooth connection to be allowed.
Try bj'in phones that accept messages straight away, such as t610's and nokia 6310i business phones, they are really easy and ive bj'd hundreds of them where i live. |
