FINALLY!!!!
FINALLY !!!!
I FINALLY have one! Sure its boring to most of you guys but I'm SO ecstatic I'm afraid of using it!
* It arrived 4hrs ago but I'm terrified of using it:
- No case / No soft cloth for cleaning it.
- already have a finger print by the #2 button just out of the plastic case.
* Got it for $199+35 Fee from provider on 3yr tarrif.
* I get a $100 credit on my account next mth; BONUS I got approved for more than 1 line (new credit rating ).
* I also get an 8GB Sandisk M2 card next month as part of my 3yr Contract ... this'll keep me QUITE sufficient!
* Already got themes saved but provider DRM's Ringtones so will need to SE DRM my own ringtones later Sunday night.
* No physical branding and light provider branding ... a FIRST for my provider actually.
My sister got hers today as well and surfing the internet tethered is CRAZY FAST! I actually drooled over my lap;
So this week I'm still on the K790a ... but I'll be K850i full next week!
NOW I know why so many ppl are freakin' out! Its because this phone is pimping (Black/Blue combo). Shizzz I didn't even look at the box for more than 5 seconds. It feels the same weight as the K790a (with the battery inside) without its own.
PS somebody had decals like Carbon Fiber ... anywhere a bloke can pick those up?

Also I FINALLY have Unlimited on phone internet access something never before heard of in Canada (well Fido had it for $50/mth and tethering included). No tethering but for $7/mth I'm DEFINATELY game! I can even use it now on my K790a ... I'm heading out tonight and have heard many horror stories for those going out with a brand new phone getting dropped, lost, stolen, or destroyed so I'm not having that.
Video On Demand, Radio On Demand, Video calling ... i'm hyper ventilating! Its too much at once.
Heading out will post back in a few days if the Rogers branding has any bugs.

Lolz let me revive this thread a bit xD
Just to share some news with you guys. I just gotten back my k850i from servicing because of damaged earpiece, they replaced a new one, not only that, they also DID something to my phone, and now my phone FEELS as STURDY AS K800i !!! NO MORE CREAKING SOUND WHEN YOU PRESS THE BACK!!! THE BACK IS REALLY STURDY NOW!! EVEN WHEN I TOOK OUT THE BATTERY AND PRESS THE BACK IT IS STILL TOUGH!!! WAY TO GO SE!!~~~ Now it made me kept squeezing my new and more sturdy built phone xD
Firmware however, is still R1EA031, but Im sure there will be a better firmware out! |

Definately GOOD news! I'm thinking of sending mine in for new casing that I cracked, instead of ordering it and doing it myself.

I remember the P990 was really buggy at one time then when I boughtone it was fine. Hopefully there will come a stage over the next few months where SE fixes all the software related faults on the K850.

Can somebody analyze this?
http://www.mobile01.com/print.php?f=14&t=595551&p=1
The website is in China's language but it said that it has photo comparison amongst Nokia N82, Sony Ericsson K850 and Motorola ZN5.
I think the photos are photoshoped cuz they're too identical (see in her expression).
But I think I still need confirmation from someone else.
Thanks.

Good one Prom1! Congrats on your new toy.
Don't forget to download VTap - great for music videos and phones with unlimited data.
