My wifes K800i does not have the FOTA menu, but I would imagine SEUS would still work... I really don't know why operators remove the FOTA - seems silly.
My K610i on 3-UK same as my wifes K800i does not have FOTA menu, but it updated over SEUS just fine to R1EJ001 - but still no update from R1ED001 for the K800i. |

some operators are a real pain when they brand a handset.
couple of guys at work have vodafone uk w810i's which don't have the FOTA
either !!!!
Thank god for operators that don't mess with the phone (hurray o2 uk)

In what region did you purchase your phone?

Phone was purchased in the UK as a sim-free unbranded handset.
My EROM version says: EROM: R3A001 prgCXC1250461_EROM_DB2020_WILMA_FOTA_SIMLOCK_FLAFLA_SIBLEY_SEMCUSB
Is that normal, especially the WILMA part, which I believe was the original project name for the K800? I reckon my phone software is just a very early version which causes problems with SEUS. Maybe I'll have to use the WOTAN route to get a newer firmware which will work with SEUS in the future.
T610 -> K700i -> S700i -> K750i -> K800i -> ? |

wanna add something to the list...not really a bug, but an annoyance...
on the orignal firmware....
if you lock the keypad, then try to unlock it straight away it won't let you until a few seconds later.....
like i said, not really a bug, just an annoying thing....

I'm with O2, and my K800i had the original SEUS firmware on, with just a few O2 settings/features added, however it was still pretty much unbranded, it still has the OTA update etc... But it never did say there was an update available.
I decided to update to the latest debranded wotanserver firmware, which has fixed a few bugs and problems, I am quite happy with the £4.99 upgrade |

I really shouldve asked this question here:
anyone flashed a silver K800 with the regular K800 firmware yet? It doesnt seem at all different to me, except for the extra *strikethrough*bloat*strikethrough* bond content.. unless anyone here knows otherwise...

Is there a manual way of installing the firmware, since the SEUS doesnt work for me?

For those with new batch of K800i, say, the James Bond K800i, please tell us your firmware version and details. I am wondering which EROM is installed. 011 or 016. Thank you. |

I have a k800i on the 3 network, but when i got to the SEUS, it says there's no update available. But my phone's firmware is the initial 3G release... why haven't they allowed to update to the latest firmware yet? |
