Nah, its a tad old .
Oh and you think you're dad's a stinge, mine's just decided to install a net-nanny on some of the PCs in our house. He's working his way geographically through the place, with mine being the last. I seriously hope he comes to his senses before he gets here.
I mean, I wouldn't mind all those crappy porno sites being blocked, its just that this thing's gunna block just about everything! I hate those nanny things, they make me feel like someone is always watching what I type, what I say etc.
I mean, if I really wanted to get around it, sure I could. I've been doing it for years at my last 3 schools, and its not difficult .
My point is, it takes up valuable system resources that make my PC just that little bit slower!
God damnit!

I know what I'd do (evil grin...)
Start up in safe mode, go in as Administrator.
Click Start, run, type in 'control userpasswords2' without the quotes.
Remove all of the user passwords, including your dads.
Reboot into normal mode, go in as your dad, uninstall any 'unwanted' applications.
Reboot into safe mode again, 'control userpasswords2' and set your dad's account up with the lowest privilages available. Also, put a password on the adsministrator account so that he can't get in to change it back again.
Job's a good 'un

Yeah, that would work, but this is my PC. I bought it. So im not letting him get near it.
Does anyone know a device that automatically locks the PC when I leave the area? (proximity)
