If the following devices hold true

E58xx - Next compact
E66xx - New flagship
E68xx - New Phablet

Then these will be released this year and then perhaps only a processor and some other minor spec bump in 2016?

Maybe 2 of those are the T Ultra's Successor and the Lavender?

the E68xx will be the new Phablet?

These official model numbers indicates for main, phablet and compact in late second half. it is not a rumor. they could cancel all or some of them or change the naming scheme but it is not likely to happen. e is for 2015 and each number combination is the known code for the type of device variant.

E55xx - Lavender, the others are based off the current and previous models, D and C years. Of course nothing is 100%, all speculation based on past devices.

But these are all slated for this years, unless they are cancelled like amirprog mentioned.

All I'm going say is there's no smoke without fire and IFA will be the launch for the all new Xperia.

That's bad news. IFA means no SD820.

I don't think that is correct. They can present the phone at IFA then release it in November. Qualcomm is desperate for SD820 and I think they will do their very best to be punctual for the production of SD820.

By the way we'll see Z5 naming or some other name for Q4 devices.

well, why would Qualcomm be desperate? is there any worthy and successful competition at this point of time?

Yes they must be! At The low-end they have been pressured heavily by Mediatek. MT is moving higher and higher. At the high end their biggest customer, Samsung, dropped SD810 and used their own solution. HTC's One M9 isn't selling well at all. LG's new flagship is using SD808. SD810 has a bad name by now. Xiaomi is rumored to wait for SD820 and release it in November. My guess is that Qualcomm is desperate to get the SD820 right and delivered asap.

the number of devices using SD810 isn't a big portion of the total devices using Qualcomm SoC. for example, XPERIA Z/Z1/Z2/Z3 aren't using SD810 and they are still shipping/selling.

there isn't much for Qualcomm to lose without SD820 this year as everyone is still stuck with Qualcomm SoC. there will be problem only if Qualcomm keep going in this failure mode for a long time. ex. 18 months or 2 years

Well, I guess we have to wait until IFA to see whether they will release all 3 flagships or not

Why would Qualcomm be desperate to come out with a new SoC?Simple answer:They already lost like 50 million shipments from S6,they can't afford losing another 20 million+ from note 5.Also,keep in mind that mediatek is launching a 10-core processor in Q4 2015,so if Qualcomm doesn't come out with a better chipset they will lose many chinese manufacturers.History,also,shows that for the past 5 years Qualcomm has 2 flagship SoC for every year.

2010:Snapdragon S1->Snapdragon S2(800mhz-1Ghz)

2011:Snapdragon S2(1.0Ghz-1.4Ghz)/Snapdragon s3(2x1.2Ghz)->Snapdragon S3(2x1.5Ghz)

2012:Snapdragon S4(2x1.5Ghz)->Snapdragon S4 Pro(4x1.5Ghz)

2013:Snapdragon 600(4x1.7-1.9Ghz)->Snapdragon 800(4x2.26Ghz)

2014:Snapdragon 801(4x2.5Ghz)->Snapdragon 805(4x2.7Ghz)

Given,that Snapdragon 810 underperforms,I don't see how they won't tweak it or replace for devices coming in Q4 '15.

There's no chance for SD820 in the Note 5, it's too early.

Esato was founded in the year 2001 and was mainly targeted at Sony Ericsson mobile phone users. We started with a couple of services offering free ringtones, grayscale logos for the Ericsson T39 and R520 models. We have expanded the service to include free color backgrounds for over 50 mobile phone models. Other popular services are the discussion forum for anyone interested in topics about mobile phones and accessories. Even if the focus was targeted at Sony Ericsson owners, we now have separate forums for owners of other brands. The most popular sections are the News, Blog, discussion forum, Free themes, free color backgrounds and a service where users can upload images from a PC and download a converted image down to their mobile phone.

if history shows two flagship SoC from Qualcomm per year, then SD820 isn't "desperate". it's normal schedule/target.

Samsung replacing SD with its own SoC is not a surprise. Samsung has been using non-Qualcomm SoC for its flagships in Asia, they simply expand it to all over the world with S6. you shouldn't just take total shipments and say Qualcomm lost all of that.

Mediatek is only catching up. more core doesn't mean it's better. look at AMD for example. Mediatek still has graphics department to catch up and they are trying hard to do that
