Had a strange issue tonight.. i am not sure if my C905 is becoming faulty or it was just the lighting and my camera settings with DM 3.8
I was taking an indoor shot tonight... semi low light.. and if I set the ISO to 100 and cranked up the shutter speed to EV2.0 , the camera had a hard time focusing on a subject like 6-7 feet away. If i switched back to all auto settings, it was fine.
very strange.. |

Any tips & tricks in using manual focus and shutter?
The lesser the EV setting, the closer (focus) and slower (shutter) speed?

I donīt want to spoil the joy of you guys but if am not mistaken none of the drivers c905 used today is implemented manual shutter speed. You are using the shutter speed constant and not manual shutter speed in this model c905.
You can read the other topics here in esato and find the register for the manual shutter speed implemented a long time ago in the others models.
We forgot to tell the DarkMagician about this.
cheers and Christmas is coming guys!!!

I am not sure you are correct brazzuka's.. When you manually set the ISO level in DM3.8, the shutter speed control seems to work fine, but its only if you set a manual ISO level.

The reg for manual shutter speed has to be used separately from the manual iso to have some purpose but can work together in the final composition of a picture as it is in fact a proposal for a manual settings.
manual iso and manual iso xenon flash in DM 3.8 is in effects works fine but not have manual shutter speed.
Do the test and see if the manual shutter speed is working properly, because in principle you are using the constant shutter speed register, do the test yourself.
constant shutter speed = the shutter depends on the luminosity.
manual shutter speed = the shutter independs on the luminosity.
In the same controller, in the same key you are using 5 different functions and I think it isnīt a good idea and one more thing to color correction is not enabled or not this is working well.
In fact is that the manual shutter speed is not the right register, let's see if we can get in touch with the DM.

Hello Guys,
I just updated my camdriver to DM3.8 but I do not see any changes to my menu. It stills stays the same as before. I bought my c905a from Walmart (ATT). I uploaded using A2uploader and made sure the new "camdriver0.dat" and "en.lng" files were loaded to the appropriate folders. I am not sure if I am missing something. The old "camdriver0.dat" had a date of May09 before I replaced with the newer one from DM. Also, I found two other files under the settings/camera folder - camdriver1.dat and camdriver2.dat which I left untouched.
I have not debranded or done any SEUS since I bough the phone.
Please help me resolve.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks wahehe15. I in fact used your en.lng file from this thread. Still I do not see any changes. I am wondering if I needed a firmware upgrade or SEUS for DM3.8 to work? As I mentioned before, all the files in my phone were dated back to May 2009.
I would really to debrand the phone to get WIFI and also update the camdriver to DM's. I am not sure of the steps to follow though (I mean which one should proceed first or second).
Thanks again,
