@areafada: That's great. I doubt if there's any Glo coverage of my hometown, Ikerre in Ekiti State yet 
But I'm sure they will get there ... someday.

Hey all, I paid for the glo business 400 today. They say they will activate me on Monday. Here's hoping.

I am posting this from Ijagemo around Ijegun area of Lagos - GPRS works here and it doesn't at my residence???

AYA: N9000/month. Though they will retain 20% as an access charge, they call it security deposit. I had a glo classic line earlier and the GPRS service was patchy at the office and at home.
I guess the point for me will be the ability to use the GPRS anywhere.
Its the deposit, read surcharge, of N10000 for IDD that irritates.
I hope to be "provisioned" and good to go on Monday. |

I see. A decision I made too is to subscribe for internet access from a PTO for my residence where I also have an office. That way, Glo can stay on break at my residence for a millenium if they so choose to.Even if and when Glo GPRS returns, it wont be the same again, as GloDirect will automatically stay 2nd place and be used when NEPA is off and when I am on the go. GloMobile's loss.

I weak o, in this age of 419 guys shld b more careful wit their numbers. @all, please i was tryin to config a motorola A835 for glogprs last nite,it asked for port no. which i don't know. Does any one have it. |

@2tek: Even though I don't give out my phone number on the Internet, I don't see any danger in it. In fact, it is 'safer' than giving out your email address (which I do) since anybody who wants to contact you with your phone number has to spend money. This is false alarm! 
You guys might be interested in a report that MTN will soon start selling lines beginning with '0806':
"0806" Phone Numbers on MTN Nigeria Network. (register)
What do you think?

I wanted to reply brix yesterday but both my connections home and newly connected glo connection would not work.
Seun pretty much say's it all. There is little risk of any real harm. Our sane/pyscho ration is low 
If we lived in a society where we had a database where things like phone numbers where "chained" to your other details such as address...etc maybe I would worry.....as we don't I'm not |
