I'm ex P910 user, initially wanted to get P990. But I decided that I couldn't wait till April. So I got a WM5 based device (Dopod 818 Pro to be exact) and for the past 8 months I've been enjoying this phone and my smart decision not to wait for this mysterious super duper P990.

Hello everyone. Unfortunately I too am an ex p910 user who decided to stray from SE and go for the WM 5 O2 XDA Exec. I can positively say that I have been brain-washed by SE and have proceeded to put my Exec on Ebay and am now waiting for the p990. I think the delay in the coming of p990 in some ways is a testament to the dominance of the p series in the smartphone market simply because when I go to pay for my p990 I won't care about the slightly out of date specs but buy the thing simply because its the great p910's predecessor. So bring on that beautiful p990!! |

Does anyone know if P990 comes with a desk sync stand like the 910 has or do you just get a cable?
Also, what the the earphones like? i quite fancied buying a bluetooth set if they are not up to much. |

I think this might be a bad thing as far as sim free release date goes. O2 dont do much of their own branding so o2 date might be just as close to sim free release date.
Dont think we are going to see any release until mid Aug. |

I disagree. At a very mimimum, O2 puts on a label on the phone + minimal software changes or even putting a O2 booklet into the box. This still requires 1-2 weeks to have unsealed boxes sent to O2 for sealing, or the necessary changes went as a package to SE, so that they can prepare and ship branded to O2 (not sure who actually does the branding). |
